I don't know what this is made out of, but it is some kind of metal and it seems heavy, then it's painted. I put this on a gate post next to the handle on my gate. Everyone wants to push my gate forward but it won't go more than 16 inches before it binds up. I was just aftraid that people would break my gate. This sign beside the gate latch was the solution. It took two predrill holes, two screws and a screw driver, and I was done. I couldv'e messed up and bought the "Push" sign, but I didn't. I feel smart about this purchase, and my follow through.

Was just what I expected. Has a nice rustic appearance. Only issue is it did not come with matching black screws. Small black screws can be hard to find so I blackened my own.
