Nº. 6 Bond Smoother: Leave-in Styling Treatment | Smooths, Conditions, & Strengthens

After only using Biolage products, I decided to give know "the holy grail" products a shot to enhance my healthy hair. I purchased this product, as well as #9 (although thankfully I never used that one because the bottle showed up damaged). I've always had really healthy hair, as I grew up with all of the knowledge of hair care (thanks to my aunt who is a stylist). Against her judgment, I decided to give this a shot. Luckily I only used it for about 2 weeks, but GUYS! 😭😭💔 my hair is coming out it thick STRANDS and WADS. I thought something was wrong with me, but all of the necessary tests were done with good results. I narrowed it down to the common denominator given the time frame, and figured out it was this product that was damaging my hair! Nearly $70 later in products for these results are devastating to me. I have to clean the brush out every time I brush now and sweep up the hair that falls in the floor. When I take a shower, it falls out the most. I have major depression disorder and this has spun me into a horrible funk, I feel so embarrassed to be only 27 years old and now have bald spots!! 💔 I would absolutely NOT recommend this to anyone who aspires to keep their hair attached to their head, I can't imagine if I had kept using it as a way to "trust the process". **hair is pulled back in the pics just to show the balding, I typically keep my hair down or braided loosely. I use minimal product and heat on it. After doing some digging, it seems that I'm not the only one who has suffered hair loss from these products. 😡 If this helps anyone, I've just started taking Nutrafol supplements (also expensive but this time worth every penny) and they've helped tremendously with new hair growth within a month of taking them 🙌

Just a couple of weeks ago I started using the Olaplex 6 and 7. At first, I loved the way it made my hair look so smooth and healthy...then, a week later I was noticing that I had more hair loss than normal. These past 4 days, I noticed my hairbrush was loaded with massive amounts of hair and more falling into the sink. I do have thyroid issues but just had my lab results come back and we are on track with where I should be, and my hair had been doing well. Adding these products is the only thing that has changed. Once I started searching the products after seeing the loss, I found that there are a lot of people having the same problem as me. I even joined a social media group and they have confirmed the same thing. I'm pretty scared to even touch my hair right now as I don't want to lose more. Do your research before buying. I will not touch these products again, except only to return them.

Olaplex has caused me to lose about half my normal hair thickness: every day, I lose a considerable amount of hair. Feel free to look up the mass lawsuit against this brand. It took me a while to notice, because initially, the results were great. I bought more Olaplex products, which no doubt contributed to how much hair I've lost, and in such a short amount of time. My (remaining) hair is now damaged-looking. I'd avoid this brand.

I've heard amazing reviews about this product. I decided to try since I live in south Florida where it's humid 95% of the time. I don't consider my hair to be super frizzy so I thought this would work well. It didn't.... :( It smells nice and it's soft. It may even make my hair softer, I'm not sure but I definitely still have frizz. I'm a mom of two littles and I like to shower and air dry my hair bc of time. I was looking for a product to just spray and tame some of my frizz. I didn't get that from this. I will not buy again. Just understand it's not a miracle and it won't work for all hair.

I never post negative reviews, but I want to warn others about this product. I used Oleplex #6 “Leave In Conditioner” for about 5-6 months. For the first 2-3 months my hair was silky, shiny and looked terrific. I didn’t even have to use any products. After 3months, I started seeing more and more hair in the shower drain after washing my hair. Also, I noticed as did my hairdresser, alot of dry split ends. I goggled reviews of Oleplex #6 and found tons of bad reviews, indicating dry hair, split ends, and hair falling out. More disturbing were the lawsuits. So, don’t believe the Oleplex website that says you can use this product safely daily….they are doing a tremendous disservice to women. It’s been 2 months since I stopped using this product and thank goodness no more hair falling out, and we’ve cut a few inches off so more split ends. I’m one of the lucky ones!

My hair is pretty healthy; I endured a full set of highlights bimonthly for about 15 years, so my ends aren't fantastic, but I haven't color processed in almost a year and have been taking Nutrafol for 4 months, so the first 6-8in of my roots is about as good as it gets. I ordered this product as a Prime Day deal because I had been eyeballing it for a while with the idea that it would bring my bleach damaged ends back to life until they were finally all chopped off, and I gave it a good 3 weeks of exclusive use to see if maybe there's an adjustment period, but I'm convinced that this product is just not meant for people with fine hair (or oil glands). In the first week or so my hair started falling out waaaaaay more than usual; I would end up with a handful every time I washed (falling out from the root, not breaking off where the bleach damage was). I've had issues with excess oil since giving birth about a year and a half ago, but this made it so much worse! I wash my hair in the morning, and usually could go a day in between if I threw it up in a bun, but while using the Olaplex system I would have to put my hair up before I even left work for the day; if I had plans in the evening I would have to go home and wash my hair beforehand because it would bee too dirty to go out after an 8-10hr day, even hidden away in a clip. The No 4 shampoo and No 5 conditioner smell great, and the first few hours of the day my hair felt nice and had good body, but after lunch it's all downhill. The No 3 treatment is what caused the most fallout in my opinion, and the No 6 bond smoother leave-in made it feel tacky and tangle easily. After my month trial run I decided to switch back to my beloved patchouli CannaCell shampoo and conditioner, and I am so much happier at a quarter of the price! Now to focus on regrowing what this garbage stole from me :(

My hair is waist-length, extremely thick (as in MANY HAIRS) , but of very fine texture. I tried OLAPLEX No.6, a leave I styling cream. Initially I was pleased because my hair was easily brushed, but 12 hours later I awoke to massive knots that had created a fuzzy ball about my head! After attempting to carefully detangle my hair for 6 HOURS & LOSING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF HAIR, I finally had to CUT the remaining knots out! My hair has sustained irreparable damage & I'll have to endure a professional shoulder length cut. I also purchased OLAPLEX No.0 and OLAPLEX No.5 but I'm reluctant to try them after my experience with OLAPLEX No.6. An extremely expensive attempt to nurture my hair that resulted in HORROR! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FINE/THICK HAIR, ESPECIALLY LONG HAIR! I'm hesitant to even give these products away because I don't want anyone else to be harmed.
