...gave me high hopes for this product. I ripped the box open, ignored the Instructions completely and slathered this all over my head. To my dismay, it made me look more white than I already am. I definitely did not look anything close to asian after using this product! I did however look foolish to may partner whom I ordered this for though. She calmly applied the 2nd box to her hair only (apparently that's what this stuff is for). After a short period of time, rinsed it out (guess that was part of the manual too?). Suddenly, as if being illuminated by heaven itself, the deep luxurious colour made her look 10 years younger. I swear this is true. This products secret ingredient has got to be divine intervention. Needless to say the product was worth the price. Will definitely buy again!

After rinsing, the scent is faint and pleasant—nothing to make your family avoid you for days. Let’s talk results. I’ve got long, fine hair and enough grey to outshine a well-lit Christmas tree. This dye covers every sparkle, leaves behind rich, dimensional color, and the dyed greys actually add soft, natural-looking highlights. It matches my natural (non-grey) shade almost perfectly—just enough refresh to make me feel like myself again, minus the shimmer. Application? Listen—I’m busy. I don’t section and paint and pray. I squeeze the thick cream directly onto my roots and massage it through like shampoo. It stays where I put it, doesn’t drip all over my face or sink, and gets the job done in record time. And now: the conditioner. Oh, the conditioner. I’d buy this stuff by the gallon if they sold it separately. It smells nice and leaves my hair feeling silky soft and tangle-free, which is a minor miracle. I stretch that tiny tube for at least two months—because nothing else detangles my hair without ripping it out strand by strand. One downside? The gloves. Like most box dyes, they’re clearly designed for people with giant hands and infinite patience. I gave up on them rather quickly and now just use my own gloves every time. Trust me—it’s worth it. I wash my hair about every other day, and I’ve never noticed fading before my roots grow out. I was a long time use of the Clairol Natural Instincts brand in Medium Brown but became disappointed with how dark the shade turned out. I decided to switch to the Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing crème hair color formula in Medium Brown 50 Truffle and It exceeded my expectations! It’s a soft brown that’s a more natural medium brown and does a great job of covering the gray. I like the thicker formula and the avocado oil that’s mixed in before applying. And it smells so nice! The only problem I have with this brand is the after coloring conditioner. I used about a quarter size of the conditioner as I’ve done with the Clairol brand but as others have mentioned, it made my hair feel kind of oily and it removed the nice scent that was left after coloring. This is where the Clairol Natural Instincts has Garnier beat. The Clairol after color conditioner leaves my hair soft, shiny, and smells oh so good! I’ll continue to use the Garnier coloring formula, but I’m tossing out the conditioner and sticking with the Clairol conditioner.

This hair dye works great! Although I try not to dye too frequently, it works well and stays in my hair for about a month.

I really loved this hair color. It was easy to use, didn’t make a huge mess, and the color came out really pretty and even. My hair felt soft afterward, and it covered very well. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely buy it again.

Wow, I'm actually very impressed with this color (cool tea)! I've always said it would be impossible to match my natural hair color and this actually came very very close! I had previously tried going back to my natural but the dye was a bit too light I guess and left a reddish tint that I wasn't fond of, so I bought this with low hopes and was brilliantly surprised! Came out a very pretty ashy natural dirty blonde -- no, it's not blonde, but if you know you know, it's a light brown, but in the sun it reflects like blonde highlights almost. Hard shade to find, but was happy to have found it.

Long lasting effects on hair

Worked as described. Color of hair turned out much darker than pictured on box though. I was expecting lighter brown but end result was nearly black.

I have only just used this product but I am really pleased with the easy way it applied. The colour is really close to my natural hair colour. I have always used the gloves to apply when I have had to colour 🧤 own hair

Great on black hair but less successful on brown tinged black hair. Left it on for 35 mins but needs longer!

Worked just as expected with box dye. Darkened my hair that had faded over time and left it soft. For people saying it didn’t colour their hair, this is box dye. You can’t expect salon results from 6 dollar drug store product. If you have dark hair don’t expect your hair to take to any of the colours on the box. If your trying to go from dark to light go to a beauty supply store for colour and toner
