saved my cat
Out of nowhere, my indoor cat became REALLY sick. She could not keep her food down and her stools became loose and had a nightmarish foul smell. She was completely lethargic staring into space and seemed to be dying. She lost 3 of her 13 pounds in a week and a half becoming really boney. My vet ran all kinds of tests but did not know what to do. She sent my cat home with some very expensive dry and wet food along with probiotics none of which my cat would not touch. I read the food labels and it was the same ingredients as what she'd eaten her whole life eating Iams. A grain based diet, likely GMO as well. Something about her condition and the docs prescribing probiotics reminded me of my own health issues so I googled GMO free cat food and came across a website with a cat that went thru exactly what my cat was. Tons of tests, no diagnosis, similar symptoms. The big issue seemed to be grains. We ourselves should not be eating a grain based diet. Nor should our animals, pets or food source animals. Grain acts like sugars in our intestines and can feed the bad bacteria overwhelming the intestinal balance. As well as causing other health issues. (high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high triglycerides, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, weight gain, auto immune issues, arthritis, inflammation, food sensitivities) Anyway the cat in the website had a near miraculous turn around in health from eating a Limited Ingredient Diet (no grain) dry cereal. So I tried this Natural Balance. And immediately my Skye started getting better. She gained her weight back, no throwing up, stools normalized, her coat better than ever as well as her energy. At 12 she has more spunk, piss and vinegar than she's had in years. It's like she's younger. Her whole life she used to tend towards being overweight and would seriously over eat so I would have to limit her food as she was frantic in her eating like she couldn't control herself. Same thing happened to me when my intestines became out of balance with chronic candida. The candida is screaming for carbs to multiply and grow which causes uncontrollable cravings. I craved carbohydrates like a junkie for heroin and could not control my carb consumption. I can now leave a full bowl out for her and she grazes without overeating. I wish my other cat Diesel would eat this food as I believe it is healthier than the grain based food she eats and it would simplify feeding of 2 cats on different diets. I also wish this food cost less but at least I find a better price here at Amazon than my local pet store.

Great option for sensitive stomachs
I switched to this food for one of my cats who has a very sensitive stomach, and so far Iโm really happy with it. The limited ingredient formula was one of the main reasons I decided to try it. The kibble size is good, the ingredients look clean, and my cat actually enjoys eating it. I also like that itโs grain free and made with a single protein source, which makes it easier to avoid food sensitivities. So far it seems much gentler on digestion compared to other foods we tried.

Small kibble and grain free - no stinky poops!!
I do my best to keep my cats at a healthy weight now that they're senior. They love this grain free Natural Balance dry cat food in all the flavors. They don't overeat it even though they're free fed, and they have healthy poops that aren't room clearing - which is more than I can say for a lot of the other dry cat foods I've tried. I originally purchased it because it was a decent price and had a great list of ingredients. The kibble is small enough that my 17 year old cat who's lost some teeth can easily eat it without chewing it, which is very important for her AND me!! I will continue to purchase this brand and recommend it to other cat parents!!

Excellent Choice for Allergic Cats - Any cats! From Amazon!
I have two large male cats who are both big eaters. Although they have both been fed a good quality, veterinarian recommended, pet store specialty kibble forever, one cat has been pulling out his hair, literally, for several months. Poor Toby Cat had become almost bald! He required continuous steroid shots in an attempt to control this problem. The other cat is a mostly Maine Coon with a bushy coat, which was rather scruffy and dull in appearance, despite brushing. I researched the entire cat problem sections on the internet, and finally decided to try Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck LID dry cat food, which I immediately ordered from Amazon. This food contains none of the usual fillers, and proteins are not ones usually encountered in other foods - major allergy inducers, especially after years of ingestion, as are grains, which are not to be found in this food. Also, most cats seem to need less of the Green Pea and Duck formula to feel satisfied. Amazingly, my Toby looks and behaves like a different cat! As does my Coon Kitty! They both now have full, shiny coats, have ceased the constant scratching and most of the constant licking (that's Toby, a diagnosed OCD). And although I did not realize this, both cats had become somewhat overweight. Both cats have lost about two pounds - they were 20+ pounders before - big boned boys, too. Now, they're both slim, trim, and more energetic! Toby has a far better disposition, since he's not concerned with his constant Natural Balance Dry Cat Food, Limited Ingredient Diet Green Pea and Duck Formula, 10 Pound Bag discomfort, which is gone. Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck dry cat food has been a bit of magic for my cats and for me! This food would be a blessing to any cat. It's healthy! And for a cat experiencing allergies of any kind, it's a must! I wrote Natural Balance and thanked the company for restoring my cats. I thank Amazon for offering it at a reasonable price and getting it here promptly! Winners, all!

Helps a chronic health issue somewhat
My older cat developed a gastro-intestinal issue of some kind and while this food doesn't fix that, it does seem to help to a point and he doesn't vomit as often. I believe he may have developed a corn sensitivity along with whatever the underlying problem is, so it is good to be able to feed him something totally different from the usual ingredients. Oddly, however, our younger cat apparently metabolizes this food very differently. He is on pretty strict portion control, but he's several pounds overweight and it seems to be because of this food. I asked a vet friend and he said that is completely possible for two animals to metabolize it differently. So keep in mind when you try it for the first time; for some cats, it may turn out not to be a good choice. The younger cat does LIKE the food however; basically he thinks he gets to eat french fries... ~_~ Also please understand if you're reading this, while I welcome suggestions about the older cat's issues, I have been through a lot of vet investigation, testing, and even took him to Cornell University's animal hospital before I ran out of money to dedicate to his diagnosis. As of now, we're stuck with managing it as well as possible and he doesn't seem to be in much discomfort; I have medication for the days he doesn't feel well.

Cats allergies gone!
All 3 of my cat's were having allergy problems. Pulling fur and "mowing". After many vet bills I did my own research. I decided it was the great quality food I was giving them. I changed their diet to this food and all their symptoms changed. No more fur pulling or mowing. And they are playing again. No vet recommended to change their food. So happy to find a solution.

This food healed all five of our cats!!!!!
I foster animals as a volunteer. Last year we began fostering a starved mother cat and four kittens. We wound up adopting the Mama (Music), and two kittens (Bandit and Lizzie). That gave us a grand total of five cats, the oldest of which is 16+. About seven months ago I noticed that the cats were vomiting off and on. The vet couldn't find anything wrong, so we just went home to keep an eye on everyone. The cats were still playful, happy, and well hydrated. The vomiting continued every so often. It was once or twice a week, but I couldn't always tell which cat was responsible. So, we went back to the vet. Again, nobody was sick. I went home and started keeping a diary to document any changes I saw in the cats. They were always fed an excellent food, but I slowly began to notice all of them (from age 16+ down to 5 months old) becoming more lethargic, they were scratching more, they were more aggravated with each other, and one cat started losing clumps of very dry fur. The really distressing part, though, was that the oldest cat stopped eating. She would eat a bit and then vomit, so she just stopped eating. By that time I was scared. I made an appointment with the vet, but I was pretty convinced it was their food. I had researched Limited Ingredient Diets and I got a small bag of this food at the local pet health food store. I brought it home and fed the cats. All the cats loved it, but the oldest one, Piglet, didn't respond right away. I leave the dry food out all the time for the cats, so they can eat as much as they need because all of our animals are rescued and I don't want them to ever feel like they're starving. Anyway, in the middle of the night I was woken up to the sound of one of the cats eating. I turned on the lamp and was overjoyed to see Piglet eating the food! Over the week all vomiting stopped, the cats are more peaceful, they're shedding less and scratching less, but the best news is that Piglet is eating and playing again! I LOVE this food!!!!

Great for a cat with food allergies
My cat has a pretty severe food sensitivity, although we donโt know to what, and this food has been fantastic. She was initially in a prescription food for food allergies, which worked okay but it was expensive, difficult to get, and didnโt entirely fix the problem. Since switching over she has had no issues at all, I highly recommend giving this food a try if your cat has food sensitivity.

Best cat food ever
This is the best food for my cats! Their coats became so gorgeous silky and so soft. Plus they donโt eat as much because itโs not full of fillers.

Great for cats with sensitive stomachs
I have a cat with a sensitive stomach and like the NB chicken and green pea, duck was a big hit. No more throw-ups and he's back to being his spazzy little self. Another thing to note is that the price is awesome compared to what I could find locally. I was only able to find the 5lb bag for $25 :/. Anyways, absolutely nothing to complain about. Great food if you're cat has stomach issues :).
