Challenging word game that you can't get enough of
Mystify is a word scramble in board game form. But if it were just a word scramble alone then it would not be fun, in this game you get clues as to what type of word it is before you are given the jumbled letters. We loved it because just about all of us play the computer game "Text Twist". Granted, some players were a lot stronger than others. How good you are depends on your knowledge level, your vocabulary, and your ability to just see a word form where there are just letters. I'd say the biggest drawbacks are 1.) the disparity between strong players and weak players, especially since it is every man for himself and 2.) no refills. We've gone through the entire deck at least one and a half times. We can't even play the game anymore.

Barely a game.
If you like unscrambling words, I suppose this game might be fun for you. But that's pretty much the whole game -- to be honest, it doesn't feel much like a game at all -- just a series of "unscrambling" tasks. Also, there is a "numbers" category in which you unscramble a string of digits to find the answers to (what I thought was) a series of questions about unknowable trivia. For example, one scrambled string is "4310," its corresponding clue is "# of calories per 100g of Cheddar Cheese." (The answer, apparently, is 0413).While on the one hand I should probably take the blame for not liking this game -- it certainly is advertised as a "Word Scramble Board Game," after all; it is not misrepresented in that regard -- on the other hand the game just doesn't feel thoughtful. Seems like a couple of inventors had a beer together -- one of them said "hey, how could we create a game in about 2 1/2 minutes?" and the other said "let's write some scrambled words and numbers on some cards and call it a day." So that's what they did. Not a fun game...

This is an awesome game! My 9-year-old son discovered it during a HAL Seminar (high ability learner) at his elementary school. I'm a certified teacher and certainly appreciate how this game challenges kids, and adults alike, to think about the English language. There is also a number category that requires deductive reasoning skills, and a little common sense. If you're a parent looking for a new board game for the family at home, or a teacher looking to up the ante in your classroom, check this one out...

Not bad for word-lovers
The description of this game are somewhat vague and I didn't know what to expect. Well, it turns out this game is all about anagrams. This can be enjoyable if you are someone who enjoys word games. However, compared to standard trivia or family board games, it falls a little short for "fun".

Missing pieces
Fun game but was missing pieces. The timer was cracked but still worked I needed to include the paper pads, pencils, and a dice.
