My 10" is actually 10-3/4" diameter at the pan's top outside edge. It's a full 9" diameter at the inside cooking surface, or about 3/4" per pan inside. Since all the various pan's side design is similar, I would expect the cooking surface to be about 1.5-2" off the OD of the 6" pan's top OD. I measured my 8" cast iron skillet and it was 6" inside diameter at the cooking surface. **Q: Is this a ceramic pan? One reviewer claims after they got it they discovered it is Teflon coated. Is this true or were they drunk?** A: This professional Ozeri pan has a "professional ceramic coating" of a "Hybrid Stone coating" which in previous pans had referred to the surface as a "Natural stone derived coating". With all that, it is not a Teflon coating. TEFLON is purported to emit toxic fumes at 450 degrees F about or so. These Ozeri pans are guaranteed to be 100% free to 500 Degrees F of PFOA,APEO,NMP,BPA fumes (You'll have to look up the exact explanations). The country of origin and pedigree of the company should also give high confidence to a buyer of this pan. **Q: does the magnetized aisi 430 layer cover the entire bottom or is just a disc in the middle?** A: The flat surface inside the pan is roughly 8 1/2 inches after that the side start to curve up, The disc is 7 1/2 inch diameter, so there is approximately 1/2 inch on the outside that is not directly covered. **Q: Can this pan be used safely with a gas stove, or is an induction or electric stove preffered?** A: I have a gas stove and it works perfectly. Be mindful of the handle though. Easy cleaning as the non stick surface can be washed under hot water and wiped clean with a paper towel.
