Looking Forward to Many Happy Waterings
Based on my initial impressions, this is clearly a first rate hose nozzle! I did a lot of research before purchasing this nozzle. I considered both trigger style nozzles and fireman style nozzles. There are a lot of nozzles available for purchase on Amazon with many five star reviews. However, if you actually read the reviews, you will discover that a lot of the customers received the nozzles either for free or deeply discounted. That is a red flag to me despite reviewers' claims to give an honest opinion. Previously, I have owned several nozzles including those made by name brand companies. I have had considerable problems with the trigger style nozzles including issues like: handles that crack, leaks, triggers that jam to the extent that the trigger cannot be squeezed. Most recently, the jam issue occurred with a Gilmour nozzle. I rate products on the following criteria: build quality, performance, durability, value per cost and customer support. This Dradco nozzle is a winner based on all of my criteria with a hopeful positive status for durability as I only just received it. However, the lifetime warranty indicates to me that the nozzle should last. Everything else about the nozzle is top notch. It has considerable heft due to the quality of components. It operates very smoothly with a nice variability of water flow control. It completely shuts off with no leaks. I also received an email from the company offering to resolve any issues. Overall, just very impressed with the quality and value!

If you're a car maintenance guy like I am
Adding to my previous review, below. Purchased another for a friend. Excellent product!! If you're a car maintenance guy like I am, then you spend a lot of time in your driveway keeping your vehicles clean. I have 3 nice rides that I take care of and that's a lot of cleaning. I've probably been through a dozen "lifetime" hose nozzles, most recently, this past President's Day, the weather was great, so I broke out the suds and the daggone nozzle broke 20 minutes into cleaning. Later that day, I made up my mind to find a heavy duty hose nozzle that would hold up to repeated dropping on the asphalt driveway, and buddy, here it is. This little jewel is built of heavy duty brass and high impact rubber. Has some heft to it as well - a solid, well-engineered design. Even comes in a cool cylindrical box with extra hose washers. I get excited when I find well-engineered products like this that are price point conscious - Griot's has a hose nozzle for $129 - c'mon! Reminds me of the $25 Jaco tire pressure gauge that I bought on Amazon last year - I was so impressed my the design and quality that I bought 2 for my buddies. This morning I received an email from Bill Jacks at the sales company, Dradco, who requested that I write a review if I liked the product. Turns out that Dradco is a Veteran-owned small business, so you can be certain that they have to rely on reviews like mine and word of mouth, cause they don't have a bottomless checkbook to pay for advertising. So without yet having put it to use, here's my initial 2 cents: This is a solid piece of gear that should withstand years of being dropped on the driveway asphalt. Yep, you have to turn the nozzle to cycle through the spray direction. Hopefully, I'll be able to come back this weekend with the post-trial shakedown report.

Great as a jet.
Though I'm tempted to weigh in on the metallurgy, I'm not qualified to analyze it's composition. I think what's undeniable is that this is an extremely high quality precision tool, engineered far beyond anything you've used outside. It's perfect like the lid on a new Macbook. It's obvious the Air Force veteran associated with this company brought a passion for excellence and executed his concept remarkably. But now let's talk about how it sprays, because it might turn like a knife cuts through butter without even the slightest play in the nozzle, but if it doesn't spray well or shut off correctly what good is it? My opinion is that this needs to be redesigned to function like the identical Sears Craftsman nozzle. Let me explain. I feel a nozzle should go from: off gentle flood full flood full cone spray focused cone spray full jet spray clamped jet spray off But this nozzle doesn't do that. It goes like this: full cone spray very very wide focused cone spray full jet spray clamped jet spray off Okay so if you're getting this nozzle as a jet, then great. Having it turn off and on in jet mode is fine, but if you're trying to water plants then no, having it turn on in jet mode is awful. As you continue to twist and widen the jet, it's still full power so is again too strong for plants. At the extreme of twisting is full cone spray very wide. The darn cone is so immensely wide that I constantly spray my shoes. I can not direct it where I want because nothing comes out of the middle of the cone. So at normal water level you're spraying like a 6 foot wide circle with zero water in the middle. So great for a jet but not useful in the garden. I hope they consider fixing that. Regardless, it's a work of art and something I'm proud I own.

Good quality
This nozzle appears to be a upgrade in quality over the Bonaire nozzle, of which I've used three over the past few years. Since one of my primary uses for the three nozzles I use several times a week is watering of plants I would offer a couple of comments regarding a couple of design differences between the two nozzles. I water several container plants and it is very helpful to have a trickle or low flow mode with the nozzle, which this nozzle lacks. The lowest pressure setting is a soft spray. If you install a flow restrictor to lower the water pressure at the nozzle end, you can make it work for this application. You have two positions on the Bonaire nozzle to turn it off, full counter-clockwise or full clockwise so you can leave the nozzle at the setting that you usually use it on, and resume using it when you turn the water back on with a slight twist. With this nozzle you have to open it at the full stream setting and rotate it back to the softer spray. It would be a great nozzle for those who would use a fireman's type nozzle for other applications and again, the initial quality appears very good. Have only used it for a couple of days but would anticipate it being very durable.

Boom, the bombdigity!
Reviews made think twice, but everything about the description sounds right. Here's the deal. Most, if not all the negative reviews, aren't about this nozzle, it's about the reviewers water supply. I bought this because I have a need to do a lot of heavy hand watering while seed germinate and plants/grass establish. This was a huge surprise. It's awesome. Basics: it's HD, very smooth to operate and durable. It's big too, but that's a plus. Beyond that if you have the water flow (volume), the right hose size (diameter to move as much water as possible) and water pressure (can't do much about most of our municipal water supply pressure) this thing is like a fire hose. The volume of water it can move is insane. With good pressure, that heavy volume can be delivered easily 20-40 feet away. And the best part is that adjusting it from a more narrow to wide spray pattern (for close and far away adjustments in the fly) is really easy one handed so you have the other hand for the hose. If you use a small diameter hose or don't turn the water supply up high you can't get the pressure or the volume of water to the end of the hose. What you might find is that depending on your supply, if it's like ours when there's a lot of use going on the pressure to your house drops. If that's the case, of course you can't get the same results from this nozzle. I have other nozzles that will work better from a pressure standpoint in those low pressure cases, but they can't deliver even close to the amount of water. The key is using a bigger hose (I'm only using 5/8" diameter and length is from 25' up to 100' garden hoses with no issues) just don't use the little coiled hoses or small 1/2", they can't supply the amount of water the nozzle can move. Also turn the water supply all the way up, open that sucker up and get as much water to the nozzle as you can. The more the better and then you can control how much you're delivering by adjusting the nozzle. If you have low pressure water supply this may not be the right nozzle. Imagine if you connected a fire hose to your house and you had to put out a fire. The water would trickle out. Connect it to a hydrant, and you have enough water and pressure to blow up a garden hose. Keep that in mind when reading the majority of the negative reviews. This nozzle is great, if you have the water supply and pressure. Most residential water supplies should do just fine.

Very heavy duty hose nozzle - but only shuts off turning one direction, not both.
This was purchased to replace an 8 yr Bon-Aire brand nozzle that basically rotted in the FL sun. This nozzle is heavy duty and you can tell when you pick it up it's not made from plastic. It comes nicely packaged and secure. The nozzle works great for washing cars. My only issue is that it only shuts off when turning in one direction. All my other similar nozzles (5 over the last 20 yrs - various brands) shut off in both directions. This is a hassle for me as when I wash cars I use the heavy stream dialed back just a tad to get a nice heavy spray for rinsing. It used to take less than half a turn to shut off the water. I now have to turn the nozzle 3 or 4 extra turns each time I need to stop the water flow. Not sure if mine is defective or if this is how they are supposed to function. I will continue to look for one that shuts off when turning in both directions.

GREAT NOZZLE
Best nozzle I've ever used and I have purchased many over dozens of years. First of all, I'd like to address two discrepancies in the technical information listed for this nozzle. I thought, does this nozzle really weigh 1 pound even though it has all metal construction? I put it on my postal scale and it weighed in at an impressive 15.2 oz, a minor difference really from the technical listing. The other discrepancy were the three dimensions listed which didn't look right compared to the picture shown. Overall length in the full off position is 4 1/4 inches, widest part of the nozzle is 2 5/8 inches. I have no idea what the third dimension listed represents. I submitted a correction of product information to Dradco regarding this issue. Regarding performance of this nozzle, it was excellent. I am on city water, standard pressure, and in the jet stream position it will reach 30 feet, the exact distance across my front lawn, when held level. Adjusting the nozzle to the widest fan spray position is approximately 5-6 feet. The nozzle also adjusts to full off and doesn't leak. Regarding questions I've read, "can you water flowers with this nozzle?", you can if you turn down the water pressure at the faucet, or, have a shutoff valve you can screw onto the end of the hose and then screw the nozzle into the shutoff valve to reduce the pressure. That would save a trip back to the faucet. In conclusion, I think Dradco has a great product, well made with all metal construction and well worth the price. I recommend it and when one of my other two hoses need a nozzle replaced, I'm buying one of these.

I’m impressed.
If you’re hoping for power washer power from a hose with low pressure - keep dreaming, never happen. But this does throw a massive amount of water, better than any other sprayer I’ve ever had, resulting in half the time to clean drive, sidewalks, street curb gutter, and water all the landscaping. Don’t use with a 1/2” hose or expandable - those are a joke. Use at least 5/8“ - 3/4” hose is much better - and take off those quick disconnects (which throttle water down to 1/2”), keep your hose length as short as possible for best pressure. And you’ll be quite happy with this spray head as I am. Only issue is it’s not fine enough to water potted plants - so just kink your hose to reduce water volume. Comes with several extra gaskets in a round presentation box - wish they’d skip the box - which you’ll throw away - and lower the price a few dollars. I’ve had other sprayers that put out a higher pressure on the jet setting - but with much less water volume, so this one cleans faster and better. Top notch quality simple construction, should last many years.

Only average I’m afraid
Only an average product I am having a lot of trouble with the variations of spray available. I also have a Bon aire unit and the Bon Aire unit is by far a better product

Works great and feels solid.
Impressed with the distance you can spray, as well you can adjust it right down to a gentle mist for watering delicate flowers also.

You need this nozzle it’s the best !
My favourite nozzle for my hose . Every year I’ve had to buy a new spray nozzle for my hose pipe . I bought this 3 years ago and it’s still in excellent shape. It has great pressure so you can have it on power wash or just on a light spray for your flowers and plants . I’ve even bought family members this nozzle as a gift as I think it’s the best out there !
