The glove provides added protection from scratches and minor bites while still allowing enough flexibility to hold and guide a pet safely. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the longer design helps protect more of the hand and forearm. I especially appreciate having it available for stressful situations such as trimming nails, administering medication, or placing a reluctant cat into a carrier as I handle a colony of feral cats. I have only had one hard bite that pierced the mesh on the back of the glove while handling a stressed feral cat.
