Does everything you would expect............ and more!
What a great calculator this is. OK its just a calculator, but even so! The screen, which is quite large, is divided into different menus for easy of topics.Speaking of size, this is quite big, the largest calculator I have every had, but that is what I like about it, because you can see previous calculations still on the screen at a glance. I also like that fractions are seen as written on paper, although you can decide in which way to see them on the set up menu. The manual is more of a tome (400+ pages) and comes on a cd, but I have found out most of the elements by trial and error. I also think the manual is not very easy to follow, I have found Youtube to be a better source of info as there are many videos to show how different elements work I also found a great site to add further small programs that help you calculate functions immediately, with just a few info inputs, like finding prime factors, or quadratic division, multiplication etc .... not sure if I am allowed to add a link but here it is http://gfxcprograms.weebly.com/grouped-programs.html the programs are free to download. You can also add Geometry, Physium and probability programs from the casio website. I did find it a bit tricky to add the programs, but got worked it out eventually. Again, info for that can be found on youtube. Very happy with this calculator and I would imagine it will last me into a maths degree too as the menu and abilities are so extensive.

Perfect for Higher Education - A levels and University
Really good, I used this for my OCR Maths As exams (It is allowed by all exam boards though), and it is even more useful in A2 Level maths, while it is not 'necessary' it is invaluable for checking answers quickly (as it can simply give the 'final answer' for many questions) and helping to quickly understand difficult and often confusing graphical questions.Nb - As levels are no longer taken by students, however this calculator will still be incredibly useful for those taking A Level maths.

A level maths... A great calculator
When we bought this for our son we were quite sad. We spent £5.99 on a GCSE calculator 5 years ago and he has carried it to school every day in that time. Now he is due to start A level further maths at 6th form college and we bought him this. It might sound silly but it is a great sign that he is growing up. We will keep the original calculator as a memory and we look forward him to using this at college and maybe even at uni. He loves it and says its amazing, doing more than he imagined.

The Best Thing To Have in an Exam
Although not simple to use compared to the calculators I was used to using ( Casio FX-991ESPLUS ), this calculator has saved me from a wrong answer many a time! It takes some time to get used to, with an instruction guide so big it comes on a CD. However I had a friend to help me get on my feet with this. The regular maths function is everything you expect, however most of the regular features are quicker to access on calculators like the FX-991ESPLUS mentioned above, but the 'difficult' calculations ,eg, integration are done many times quicker on this calculator, and graphs are very easy to input and work out features, like roots. A must for even an A level mathematician

Really easy to use
I have used a few graphic calculators before but I have found this one to be the easiest to use by far. With previous models that I have used I needed to look in the extensive manual or look up instructions online. However, with this calculator I managed to figure out almost all of the functions that I wanted to use fairly easily just by playing around with it.One big advantage of this model over the FX-9750GII is the "Natural Display" or "NATURAL-V.P.A.M" feature rather than the single line display which make it much easier to type and read integrals etc.I found this really useful when studying A level Maths/Further Maths and would recommend it.

Engineer's Dream
Not ideal for a-level although you are allowed to use it for edexcel, you do not really require it. perfect if you need memory capacity and programmability. it doesn't have the capacity for symbolic diff/int but you can add app that allow for that, and other mathematical, physics and engineering related apps. you can also play games like minesweeper if that interests you.

Nicely laid out
Very nice item - it is the recommended calcuator for the IB course but it works well and feels good in the hand.

More than adequate for requirements.
This machine exceeded all the requirements for the tasks for which it was purchased. Purchased by me for a sixth form student studying among other things mathmatics, physics, chemistry and economics. The item has proven to be extremely useful in a wide variety of circumstances.
