Nice door plate for the money. I used it to replace my old tarnished plate, which was solid brass, but didn’t want to spend $75+. This one looks fine.

This product is a thin sheet of aluminum with a plating of bright gold on one side. It comes with a pack of 12 philips head wood screws with pan head. The bag was broken however in my box, and the screws were loose. Thankfully I found them all, or else I would have had to go to the hardware and probably repurchase a whole new set of brass ones. Pro tip-put the screws in perfectly straight every time because if they aren't, it will leave kind of an unsightly gap and also bend the material because they don't seat flat. Pre drilling would be a hassle. Once you screw it in crooked, you really can't redo and straighten it. The hole is done. I probably had half my screws off a bit. Also, the screws were kind of cheap and they can strip a bit when driving. The gold color will come off the screw where it happens. They are not brass. Overall, it's likely people won't notice small imperfections. Nobody's out to inspect door plates. And it's an overall improvement to my door and I got the look I wanted at a low price. Would probably be interested in an adhesive application if I had to redo.

It's on the thin side but you get what you paid for. Except for that, overall, everything is right color, ease of install, length & width. I recommend this product, if you don't want to spend more!

Perfect addition for what I needed. I tacked it up as a kick plate to my outdoor deck steps. It looks great with the new stain that went on the deck.

Looks good. While the description says "polished" and the website photos are accurate, a more accurate description of the metallic presentation under the surface glossiness would be "brushed." I feel that truly reflective (like a mirror) would have been a higher look. But since it went on a 4-family front door and it'll get some abuse, I went with a price point for replaceability. Good value before any information on longevity. I told the handyman to screw the screws down gently to avoid plate deformation and that was successful. It's not like the plate is at risk of falling off. I did not hear of any installation issues. The screws are not brass color. They have a coating on them that provides a bit of a brass-like sheen. In place, the contrast is not noticeable.

Needed to replace our old ones after 20 years. The holes did not line up exactly with the old ones, but several did and I just drilled new ones for the ones that did not. Easy to install. Leave the protective film on until all the screws are in, but don’t tighten the screws down all the way until you remove the film. That prevents the film from being trapped under the screw head and not coming off properly.

We wanted to "spiff up" our front doors with nice brass kick plates without breaking the bank and this product seemed to fit the bill. For a few months the plates looked great, but after a while started to show discoloration in a few spots, where they looked kind of splotchy in spots and not as bright as the original installation. Furthermore, when the screws are tightened the brass shows the screw indentations that can be viewed from a distance. All that being said, if you want a quick fix to spruce up your doors for a few months these will do the trick. Next time we will spend more money on a higher quality, more long- lasting solution.

Kickplate was well packaged, and was complete with safety stickers indicating the sharp edges. Screws are included as well.
