Is there any difference between this product and Sand Clear?

I get the Equi Aid Psyllium powder. Not the pellets. Sand Clear has apple and molasses flavoring. Sand Clear is $4.50 per pound and the Equi Aid powder is $4 per pound. My vet prefers the powder.

How many months would the 20 lb bucket cover for a single 1000 lb horse?

I'm sorry but I don't know. I have changed my psyllium regimen over the years and I give a scoop once a week now. The research is sketchy and I also feed only grass hays,thought to help move sand and dirt. My vet recommended the change to weekly and, knock on wood, I've never had a problem. Therefore I use 52 scoops of year for 1000 pound horse instead of 84! I do also check manure for sand. So far so good
