Almost died, but these work nicely
After attempted use of Fix a flat can sprayed all over me and my eyes, leaving me blind and rolling around in the street in Detroit on Christmas Eve and also jamming the valve stem open - I got these installed with the help of my father. Take tire off vehicle, break bead and pull outward on the side with the valve stem. Using vise grips or tool remove old valve. Choose which ONE of the black rubber washers you need. You only use ONE depending on the size of the valve stem hole in the wheel (there are two standard sizes and you get two washers of different sizes so it will fit). Use only 1 of the rubber washers. From the inside install the valve and rubber washer on the inside of tire so it pokes through. On the outside place on the cupped steel washer (domed up/outward) and put the nut on. Tighten nut (I think 14mm?) not insanely tight. Enough to be nice and snug but not rip the rubber washer. No torque is specified, you can always tighten a little later if it leaks. Reinstall tire as normal. We have an old tire machine and used it on my 31"x10.5r15 2000 Ford Ranger tires. The wheels are the factory wheels, the tires are larger aftermarket ones. Not that it matters, but their Michelen Defenders and make my 2 wheel drive truck a pleasure to drive in Michigan snow. The rubber washer helps if the inside of wheel is bumpy, corroded or uneven. This works on normal passenger vehicle wheels. Mine is a 2000 Ford Ranger. A few fancy wheels have a weird indented hole or pocket that is a depression around where the valve stem pokes out: this may cause interference with tightening the steel nut...depends on how deeply the stem is down in the hole. It wasn't a problem on any of our 2000-2015 Ford vehicles with factory wheels. The old stems were just pull through: if they are a little loose or uneven you'll have a slow leak around the stem with no way to adjust it. These you can tighten and these have the sealing rubber washer so you won't even have to tighten it much at all. Don't use Fix a flat (or even Slime). Actually fix the problem or just keep adding air.

Good Quality
I had some steel trailer rims start to leak through the actual steel. Not at the weld or anything like that but rather through the steel, indicating the steel must have been porous and defective. I found the leak by submerging the tire in my pond. It was the second rim to have this problem. In my opinion, shouldnโt happen no matter how old they are. But it did. Completely flat overnight on a tandem axle trailer. Cold/winter (15-20 degree temps) made it much worse. Given the set was over 15 years old and no way to repair it, I bought all new rims and these valve stems to go with them. I swapped the tires over myself with a set of tire irons just to prove to myself I could do it if needed on the side of the road or something. No major issues but it is a little bit of work. I tried to reuse the rubber snap in valve stems since they were almost new like the tires but they get damaged upon removal. After using these metal stems, I wonโt go back to that style. They went in very easily, have no leaks, and if needed I can easily reuse them. I really like the high pressure rating of these valve stems. My previous rubber snap in were high pressure but only rated up to 80 psi. These are good for up to 130 psi if I remember the specs correctly. Thereโs also no exposed rubber for UV sunlight to degrade. In years past, Iโve had rubber stems snap off after becoming brittle due to sunlight. This problem canโt happen with these.

Good valvestem
I have used these for quite a few years with excellent results. Much more durable than any rubber stem I have purchased in the last 10 years. Getcha some.

Very sturdy
Much better than the rubber attachments, these are very sturdy and they donโt leak nor do they catch on things and bend or tear

5 โ FOR NOW
The material looks good. A little too chromy for my liking, and I don't think its made from the highest quality staibless steel, but it looks sturdy enough. Some reviews say they leak. I hope mine doesn't. I applied flex seal liquid (tubeless conversion) around the seem on the inside and a thin film where the rubber makes contact with the rim for both rubber washers. It should seal well. If it doesn't hold air, I'll know halfway through my 10k roadtrip.

Great replacement valve stem
Excellent steel valve stems

Nice build quality, will not conform to radius.
Almost a really good product. Rubber won't deform to curves on rims so I had to return it. Needs a cone shaped rubber washer for both sides. Really nice all metal stems. But unless you have nice flat faces for your stems, good luck getting it to seal unless you have a really flat sealing face.
