I ordered this product to protect my new $1,400 Pentair Intelliflo VS- VF pump from the torture of the SW Florida weather.I actually received the product 2days earlier than projected. I was very surprised at the sturdy materials that this cover is made of. It appears to be some sort of composite material very heavy with a bright white finish. Be aware that you might have to cut a channel for the pumps electrical conduit. This is easy to do if you measure correctly, I used a hack saw took about 10 minutes. Put over the pump fit perfectly. Cover fits flush on the concrete pad and butts up against the outlet plumbing that holds it in place. Be aware also when installing the cover that you spread the side a little to go over the 485 cable connection on the pump. There appears that there is plenty of ventilation for the pump. I have checked it several times and do not notice any overheating issues, I guess time will tell. As others have said you can screw it into the pad if you want but that seems to be stupid if you needed to remove for pump service. Overall I’m impressed with this cover so far. I do think the product is a bit over priced, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. Please see attached pictures of my install.

I love the flexible but sturdy plastic used. Fits well and would be perfect if there was actual room for it to sit flush. Electrical and filter housing in the way but since it’s out of the way I’ll call it a success.

Pump arrived on time in good condition...well packaged. Installed about a month ago and it's working great. Delivers plenty of pressure to run 6 rotary sprinklers in one zone and 12 pop ups in another zone.

I purchased a new variable pool pump recently after many years. The old pump motor was never covered. When selected the new v pump style, the motor had rear vents. This meant that I needed to either enclose the entire pump and filter or place a cover over the new pump. My search brought me to the Horizen Industries pump cover. I wanted something light, easy to remove, and able to cover the rear portion of the motor on the pump. The v pump control panel is a thing that I wanted to protect besides the motor vents.The HI cover also has vent holes on the two side panels. I think I made a good selection for my needs. I would tell a friend to check it out if needed.

Within a few months of normal use (about 7 hours a day) the small plastic tab which makes the impeller to turn Wore out rendering this pomp useless

Small enough to squeeze into a tight space, but large enough to protect my motor from the elements. Simple to remove to access the pump.
