KenwoodKMR-M325BT Marine Digital Media Receiver with Bluetooth

I liked this product upon initially receiving it. The sound quality with just the 22 watts RMS driving my 6 1/2" speakers didn't satisfy me but I wasn't shocked by this. I'm glad it has several preamp outputs as I added an amp and am very happy now with the sound quality. What disappointed me was the detents with the volume/control knob diminished to the point where it wasn't useful anymore. For volume alone no big deal but the same knob controls many of the functions and settings so the fact that it would jump all over unpredictably from one setting to another and often jumping right over settings was frustrating to say the least. Amazon was great with the return and shipped me a new one, hoping that unit will hold up longer than two months.

I bought this for my 1975 Jeep CJ-5. The Jeep is a classic, like new and is not an off-roader, it is barely driven. Apparently, a couple weeks after installing this I washed the Jeep and some water leaked through the heater intake vent or other opening and got on the unit... It threw an error message so I let it dry out, and when I went to power it back up it displayed more error messages. I called Amazon support, they connected me with Kenwood support and recommended a testing scenario. I did it, but it threw an immediate error message and I called Kenwood. They told me I could send it in for warranty but if there was any evidence of water touching the unit, they would not fix or replace it. I could see evidence of water drops on the top case. Sorry, but what part of MARINE stereo is exclusive of water contacting the unit?? This was not submerged... water likely got on top of it and possibly a few drops got in through the one or two tiny holes on the top of the housing. Ridiculous. Kenwood lost a customer for life. DO NOT buy this. I had a Pioneer Supertuner unit in the Jeep for over 25 years... it probably got a little wet from leaks, I could see this when I removed it, that's why I got a marine unit. Guess where I am gong to look for a replacement now! NOT Kenwood....

I have this radio in my boat and in a client's boat. I love it, he loves it! I consider myself an audio file and the quality of sound is REALLY good...without an amp! The software for Android phones is phenomenally well-designed. It does EVERYTHING you would want it to do. I'm hard to please, but this Kenwood stereo has continued to impress me!

Very good stereo for my boat. Only used Bluetooth as my source and it’s easy to work with. There is no lags, connects automatically when the stereo is on, and I am happy with this product. Easy to see the display too

Good replacement for old head unit. Easy to install.

After receiving the unit I dry wired everything to make sure it functioned properly before shrink wrapping and making all connections Marine grade. ( I have done many stereo installs on cars, boats, 4wheelers, home, very experienced in electrical). This being said on the first outing with the unit installed on my boat, in a new splash/water resistant shield it went into protect mode in the middle of a song. Tried resetting, pulling power all the norm stuff to no luck. Call customer service and they said to ship the unit out for repair or replacement if it could not be repaired. After spending $17.50 for shipping was notified a week later that corrosion was found in the unit and voided the warranty. Either pay $17.50 to get the unit shipped back or they will dispose for free. Called customer service again trying to fight but they do not stand behind there product or there customers. They lost a Kenwood/JVC customer for life. I would buy a cheap pyle and replace when needed or JL,Rockford if you got the money.

This unit was used to replace another KENWOOD unit. So far so good.
