Review: Don't believe all the bad reviews. It's a good kitchen trash can. - So far this is a very good kitchen trash can. Between the steel exterior and the plastic liner can, I believe it's very sturdy. I am concerned about the plastic pedal on the floor, that is pressed to open the can because it is plastic. I hope that part lasts. I believe if it were a thicker, more durable plastic, that was covered with shiny metal, then the metal would help keep the plastic part of the pedal from breaking. But the pedal has not broken for us. If that changes then I'll change my review. But for now, it seems to be a durable can that's well made and is also quite pretty! The price is fair to middle. I was hoping for a little lower price, but then maybe the pretty blue costs more - it's a designer look. It's quite easy to use and the capacity is very good. Others complained about the gift bags that were included. I don't see how it will cause a problem when switching to any 13 gallon size bag. It's exactly the same size as regular 13 gallon bags you get from the grocery store. My step son put a bigger bag in it... It didn't look nice, but it stayed up and collected trash, so that worked for me. But I have 13 gallon bags and we'll use them from now on. I didn't have to purchase special bags for this trash can. It's pretty and I believe it's made well. The lid keeps my Labrador from getting into the trash and that's practical... It's a mix of practical and a pop of pretty navy or dark blue. I'd personally like a shiny surface because it doesn't show dirt easily. But the flat blue (no shine) is very attractive.

So far this is a very good kitchen trash can. Between the steel exterior and the plastic liner can, I believe it's very sturdy. I am concerned about the plastic pedal on the floor, that is pressed to open the can because it is plastic. I hope that part lasts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Songmics 8 gallon Black Trash Can

I’m impressed. Very sturdy, well packaged box. Came with 15 bags inside. I discovered if you pull the bag down as shown in photo, push a little thru the hole in back, gently put liner in can, you can barely see the bag at all. As far as complaints about the logo in the front, mine had a removable static stick label, which I put on back of can to remember th.e name. Unlike my former trash can which had just a little plastic tab holding the metal piece to the step pedal at the top (which broke by the way but after 5 years), this can has a sturdy bracket which is screwed on and could be replaced as long as you could order the part from the company. The step pedal seems thick and durable as is the plastic guide that moves the stem to the lid. It does not make any noise upon closing. I really like the shape, looks contemporary. No movement or sliding of the can on the vinyl flooring, which was a consistent problem with old can. Will update after I’ve had it for a while, but this far, well worth the money that I really didn’t want to spend on a trash can!
