The first lamp had few hours of operation until the switch "burned" out. The replacement lamp switch also "burned" out but included additional issue of two crossed wires shorting out. Very poorly designed, including the flimsy pull cord off/on switch and no insulation from the heat the lamp generates. It took less than 5 minutes to put together (WAY easier than any kids toys) and the base is light enough to move but heavy enough that it won’t fall over easily. There were a handful of brackets and other metal pieces that there weren’t clear directions on what to do with but I figured it was for booting it to the floor somehow. I love that it turns on with the pull cord. I wasn’t sure how hot it would get but you can definitely feel the heat radiating from it.
