I read the reviews on this book and people complaining about the typos. Listen, your baby is only going to be interested in this book for the first 5 months of life, they are not interested or care about that. My baby loves this book! and it keeps me engaged as the mom because i have something to read and sing to her without having to rack my brain. It has so many different rhymes, some i havent even heard of but love. GREAT BOOK!!!! Its a book that she will continue to enjoy after she sees in color because of the rhymes.

I love the black and white images. My baby smiles when we read this book together, and stares intently at each picture. Most of the black and white books on Amazon are about 10 pages long. For about the same amount of money, this book is loaded with 48 pages. The 21 different rhymes makes the book feel fresh each time, as I will sometimes read 5 or 6 rhymes at a time. The rhymes are classics, and bring back memories from my childhood. I especially like that I can sing every nursery rhyme. My three year old also loves this book, and insists that we sing “I’ve been working on the railroad” over and over again (he’s obsessed with trains). I am so happy that I stumbled across this book.

My 2 yr old and 2 month old love this book. The black and white are great for eye development in infants and my 2 yr old loves singing along. Gave it a 4/5 because some of the songs are unfamiliar and not typical little kid songs. Could think of others that were missed in place of those .

I live overseas in a very small apartment. I wanted to get a book that would supplement baby brain development for my 4 month old (now 6 month old!) with black and white images, as well as contain classic rhymes. This book is perfect! Baby loves to look at the images and I sing the songs and rhymes-- some rhymes are worded a bit differently from what I remember, but even tho books encourages parents to sing the variation they know best. I YouTubed any songs I did not know and learned them quickly. This book became part of our routine!

This is my second time purchasing as a gift. First recipient was happy with the book.

I was skeptical because the 1 picture posted seemed pretty simple, but the images are nice quality with lots of good contrast for baby. Nice simple rhymes to sing or chant. A nice way to get siblings involved with baby too. Lots of pages/images for the money as well. Great baby find!

Love the book and I love that it’s black and white, but I have a hard time reading books when there are spelling errors.

I bought this for my newborn grandson. It’s full of nursery rhymes, many of which I used to sing to my son when he was a baby. When my daughter in law told me that baby’s can only see in black and white, I was on the hunt. I bought two book, a shorter one with about 16 pages, and this one with 48 pages. The other book has one or two simple words paired with black and white pictures. This book is much more engaging, as it has a bunch of rhymes that can all be sung. Although I can’t hold a tune for the life of me, my grandson doesn’t seem to mind. We’ll have many fun rocky-a-by hours with this book.

My baby and also my toddler loves this nursery rhymes book! You don't have to think about what song to sing for your little ones...just turn the page and sing the words :-) The high-contrast colours are excellent for babies!

Lovely book of nursery rhymes with clear black and white pictures that match them. Other reviewers have mentioned spelling mistakes such as poor for pour but the mistakes have been taken out of this book, the latest edition. I am sure my first grand daughter will be delighted with this book - great for new borns

All the classics I know, plus some that are new to me! I saw a review that said there was a spelling error on the word “pour” in I’m a Little Tea Pot, but in my copy it is spelled correctly. I bought this for my 3 month old; specifically for the high contrast images and nursery rhymes, but my 2 year old loves this book and can now ask me to sing her fave songs by finding the page in the book she recognizes. Thrilled with this purchase! I recommend it to my zoom baby group

A must have book. My 4 month old son loves it. It's our favourite night time book. The pictures in black and white are very catchy for baby. It has cute collection of rhymes.
