Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaner works again.
The transducer is a little smaller than the original. So far so good is working. Knocked the old one off with a hammer and JB welded the new one on. This was the P/N 63256 cleaner.

Fun toy.
You'll need to build a signal generator/driver to make use of this. If you have an oscilloscope you can fool with the input wave until voltage and current are at resonance. 40k at 60watts is perfect for stifling dogs at a pretty great distance. Or you could build the similar circuit and use this for it's intended purpose...up to you.

Bent positive and negative terminals
Theyโre bend completely flat against the transducer. Had to bend back up which now shows visible stress on the metal, will have to be careful so they donโt snap.

15 minutes total use and it burned up
Lasted 3 uses of 5 min each. Burned at the plates for each wire. I purchased a small 2 L ultrasonic cleaner. It went bad after 2 uses at 10 min each. I contacted the seller and they sent me a circuit board which didnโt fix it. I replaced this part which matched identically to the original in spec and appearance by epoxying it in place and soldered it up. Powered it on and ran a 5 minute clean. Good. Sat boxed for well over a year. I used it today for 5 minutes, and again for 5 minutes and it progressively got quiet. Opened it up and it burned out at the plate for one wire, but looks burned on both sides. It should work for more than 15 minutes.

Purchased two 40KHz transducers. Received 40KHz & 28KHz (Rank C & D).

Looking good so far.
The basic specs were the same (60W 40KHz) and this transducer looks to be the same size and shape as the one in the ultrasonic cleaner. It can probably act as a direct replacement, but I intend to build a simple cleaner with less volume, in order to increase cleaning power. Just two wires go from the generator circuit board to the transducer. Perhaps just those two wires can be disconnected and extended to the new cleaning unit... also the AC grounding wire... As for the cleaner's timing and heating functions I can probably do without them. But it's gonna take some study, thought, trial and error...

Repaired Lyman 2500 ultrasonic
Used this transducer to replace failed one in my Lyman 2500 ultrasonic cleaner, works so far, but take care to only apply thin coat of JB Weld.
