Hawaiian Ikaika Natural Warrior Helmet from Hawaii

I placed an order for this item to replace one that I had previously purchased well over 10 years ago. However, please note that Amazon fulfills this item, not hawaiian-jewelry. Thus, while the product is ordered through Amazon, Amazon also packs and ships it.Unfortunately, when Amazon mailed it, they packaged the item in a padded mailer. The Kamani nuts that are used to make these helmets are quite fragile, and when I received the package in the mail, the helmet was smashed flat. It's important to note that this was NOT the fault of hawaiian-jewelry. Needless to say, I returned it for a full refund.I gave this item 4 stars out of 5 for the following:+ Price+ Quality item; well made+ Feather combination and style+ Real raffia (not nylon cord with beads)I removed one star for the following:- The Kamani nut that is used to make this helmet is painted a mustard yellow color. I much rather prefer the natural wood coloring of the nut itself.I have not re-ordered this item as of yet, as I am waiting for a non-painted version of this product to be released by hawaiian-jewelry.

The straw came bent for packaging and it’s not easy to get it to lie down flat.

The product was packed securely and arrived intact. My only criticism is that it was smaller than I expected. That is my problem,however, because it did state the dimensions.
