Amazing Product and System!
Got this bow for my 11yo son and we both could not be happier. If I could have given 6 stars I would have! This is the 1st bow we have ever owned, so I don't have anything by which to compare. But I cannot imagine a better, easier, or more well designed system. I actually don't write many reviews, but this is really a great product at a great price. I opted for the free super saver shipping and Amazon delivered it the NEXT DAY (less than 24 hours), which resulted in a very happy and surprised kid! I considered the Bear Warrior 3 for my son, but I am super happy we went with this one. It is a much better system for a growing boy.It comes with 5 different sets of cams (B-F) that can change the draw length from 22"-26" and weight from 19-41 (without a bow press). Each cam adjusts the draw length about 1", and 3 lbs. Then you can adjust the weight down an additional 9lbs (3lbs for each turn of the bolts, up to 3 turns). It ships with F installed and a 41lb draw weight. In literally 3 minutes I changed to the C cams for my son which made it 23" and 30lbs. The 30lbs was still a bit stiff for him (this is his 1st bow), so with 2 turns of the bolts, it made it 24lbs which was a good starting point for him. I love how this bow will grow with him. At the highest setting (41lbs without a bow press) it seemed like a decent setting for an adult man, and someday if we want to, we can get it up to 45lbs.I will clear up 1 thing that was a little confusing for me. In the ads it says it can be adjusted to 16 lbs and the package says 19. The bow can be adjusted all the way down to 16 or up to 45 with a bow press. But out of the box, it can go from 19-41 WITHOUT a bow press. You get a tiny bit more adjustment with a bow press (16-38 on the "-" setting, or 22-45 on the "+" setting), but 19-45 out of the box with a 3 minute change is pretty amazing in my book. The "-" or "+" settings just tilt the scale up or down by 3-4lbs and 1" less or more of draw length. The reviewer that said it's not adjustable without a bow press is a moron. 19-41 is very adjustable. It comes with the cams and allen wrenches needed to makes the adjustments. And as I said the cams change out in 3 mins with 2 allen bolts for each. It really could not be any easier. The package also doubles as a pseudo carrying case (although it's not enclosed), and it stores the cams and allen wrenches. As others said, the arrow rest and arrows are not good. We went to walmart and got better arrows in advance because we had read the reviews. He actually likes the arrow rest for now, but we may upgrade later. It will only take a couple of minutes to add a whicker biscuit to it later if he wants. If you are looking for a bow for a preteen or teenager, DO NOT get another bow. Get this one. You will love it.

GREAT YOUTH BOW!
PRODUCT CHANGE NOTICED 11/11/13..I went back to order this 45lb model again for my other son and when I click on the link in "my purchases" the 45lb model has been replaced by the "lite" model, which only goes to 29 lbs. This is not the same bow everyone has previously reviewed. Please make sure you know which one you are getting. The one I (and others) have reviewed is the camo model that is actually camo and goes to 45lb draw weight. The picture that comes up now is the "lite model" with the red cams and it only goes to 29 lbs. Come on AMAZON!! Which one are your selling?? I am not sure if they are just posting the wrong picture or if they have changed the product??This bow is not a toy!As others have mentioned, unless you want to have a dissapointed kid, BUY ARROWS...They will litterally only last a few shots into a target. I would also recommend a "capture style" arrow rest for safety, we selected a medium size whisker biscuit for use with carbon arrows. I don't know if I would trust the rest that comes with it past 35 pounds. You will also need an arm guard until they learn proper stance (shouldn't need it if you are holding the bow properly other than to protect clothing), and some sort of mechanical release or finger tab, glove, etc. Still, even after adding everything up you are well under the cost of most quality bows. The sights are "ok" but are plastic and might need to be upgraded if the bow were going to be carried in the woods for hunting, but for getting the bow set up and shooting they will suffice. The bow comes with different modules that you replace on the cams. These modules allow for the wide assortment of draw lengths and weights. I inserted the b modules and broke one while snapping it into the cam, Barnett replaced it quickly with no hassle. The "b" module is the thinest and you need to be careful when installing it. All of the cam module work can be done with out a bow press. If you want to move the string to the + or - post on the cam to get to the lower or upper end of the drawlengths you need a bow press. Very happy with this purchase...Also if you have a smaller framed wife, girlfriend, teenage daughter (measure their draw length), that is interested in archery this would be a perfect beginners bow. It is a small investment for someone to make if they want to try archery. It is good enough for them to learn on and not be frustrated that it's not a "real" bow...then if they want to advance they will know what they want in their next bow. We adjusted the timing on the cams one time (with a bow press) and have not had to again.Lets add it up:Bow - 120.00whisker biscuit rest-35.00wal-mart carbon fiber youth arrows 2.99 each (lets say 9.00)finger tab - 5.00arm guard - 7.00So for less than 200.00 dollars you are good to go with a "real" bow.

Good starter bow for the Kids/Girlfriend/fiance/wife
My fiance wanted to come shooting with me, but couldn't pull my bow. I did some research and found this bow. I bought it for a few reasons:Pros1. Good range of draw length2. Good range of draw weight (She's not going to need a new bow right away)3. Good Price for starter bow4. Had everything we needed to get her started5. Cams were easy to adjustCons:1. The handle leaves a lot to be desired for2. The arrows are absolute junk. Pick up some Easton (or comparable) carbon arrows when you buy this bow and just throw away the ones that come in the box.The quality of the build is pretty good, and the weight it pretty light as well. I was unimpressed with the handle and had to wrap some tennis racquet over-grip so the edge wasn't so "sharp".I would recommend to a new archer or someone who is looking for an affordable bow to get started.

the truth
average 300 ibo on arrows calculator vs chrono test, good for 45#. Mais les commentaires sur la vortex hunter 45-60# sont faux, l'arc atteint seulement 281fps @ 30'' LD et 62.7#, testé par 2 chrono. But the comments are false on the 45-60# , The bow shoot only 281fps @ 30 ' ' lenght draw and 62.7# with maxima hunter 400 gr total. Tested by 2 chrono.
