Stant Engine Coolant Reservoir Cap, Black

This is a standard 150 bar 22 psi cap. The info is incorrect and misleading - says 11psi, which helps protect old coolant systems. Also, I received one model from Taiwan (black) and one from Germany (green).. black one has an odd valve design i dont understand. wish it was consistent.

My radiator overflow was boiling over at low temperatures. I was carrying a bottle of water with me everywhere I drove, took my car to the shop, paid for a diagnostic nobody could tell me what was wrong, never once suspecting for a moment it was a faulty. cap. Finally searching for a solution on the net, most were saying I needed a new head casket, searching I read that it may be my radiator cap. went to Amazon found exactly what I needed, ordered the part and within a week it arrived and haven't had a problem since..

I bought a cheaper version of this cap on ebay and it constantly overflowed, I thought the worst and spent unnecessary money diagnosing worse problems like a blown head gasket. As a last ditch I bought this Stant cap and installed it before tearing down the top of my motor. Problem solved, no more overflowing. The cheap brand was defective from the factory. Lesson learned, while a Genuine Volvo cap is probably best, this Stant cap is an effective less expensive alternative to Genuine OEM.

Purchased this for the coolant tank on a '89 Jeep Comanche. The tank was an aftermarket replacement. I purchased a new cap from the local auto parts store, but that disintegrated when the engine ran hot. This replacement is was recommended on Jeep forums, and is a great fit.
