I have purchased this 9 times and use it to make Barbara O’Neill’s tea. It is reliably fresh. I make the tea in the mornings and then drink it around 4:30 pm on an empty stomach. I throw it back like a shot because I don’t care for the taste but it does what it needs to do. I, obviously, highly recommend this product.

Careful, I made a pretty strong brew with 3 tsp for 24oz tea. Very bitter, but my bowels gave up alot of waste. I'm decently regular; I'm taking it more for my liver health so I'll make it a lot less strong next time. 😅 If you want a more natural laxative, it definitely works.

Taste: Bitter, dried wood. Time to brew: 10 minutes for a strong brew. How much? I use about twice the recommended amount because this is not a remedy that's fast acting. How long: Every single time I've brewed and drank this, it absolutely works, but it tends to work 10-12 hours after I drink it. So, this isn't something that's going to be fast acting. 4 stars

This bark is cut up into small pieces and is easy to use for making tea. The instructions are on the back of the resealable bag. Add 1tsp to boiling water and COVER it for 8-10 minutes and then drink. It is a bit bitter but can be helped with some lemon juice and honey or monk fruit. I use it more for its benefits than flavor. It is thought to be helpful with supporting the function of the digestive tract and can have laxative properties, so it is best to drink it at night.
