Ceramic Coating for Cars - 80% SiO2 Formula, Hydrophobic Paint Protection, UV & Corrosion Resistant for Glass, Wheels & Plastic, Easy Application, Car Detailing Kit, 30ml

After watching a few reviews of ceramic coating products I settled on Nano Bond for my black 2007 300C. Like other reviewers stated, the finish needs to be clean and clayed along with any paint corrections needed for swirls or scratches, before applying the product. If you don't do those steps, you will be sealing in those defects for a long long time. I wash my car with Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash 2-3 times a week in the summer [it's stored in the winter] and wax it 2-3 times a seasons too...and I do not wax unless I use a clay bar first. I also apply some Meguiar's G14422 Ultimate Quik Detailer spray on all the horizontal surfaces after each wash. So for me the biggest part of the project was buffing out all the defects. Once that was done, applying the Nano Bond took only 20 minutes or so...and I did the complete vehicle. Like other reviewers I did not like the small applicator that came with the kit so I purchased some larger microfiber applicators form Adams which made the process a lot easier. However, it also goes through the product a lot faster and I was not able to finish the job with one bottle and had to buy another. On that note, I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it is very hard to see how much product remains in the bottle as you go. Plus the amount of product you get is pretty small considering the price. I am sure the manufacturer would argue it's plenty if you use the small applicator we provide, but IMO, there needs to be a better balance between ease of application and the amount of product supplied. Regardless, I am very happy with the results. At first I was not amazed with the results because my car always looked pretty good and buffing out most of the defects naturally made it look a lot better. But I noticed right away that it was repelling water even better than before and I started to really notice how the surface did not just shine, but almost glow. It has much more of a mirror like finish too where reflections are more crisp and defined. Pretty noticeable difference really. I am still washing it 2-3 times a week and still using the detailer spray, although more out of habit than need, mainly because I like the "smooth like glass" feeling it gives the finish after washing, but it's definitely not necessary. Because here I am a year later and it still looks great, has held up extremely well and still has that Nano Bond glow. However, since I used an old Craftsman buffer which was on it's last leg the first time, I was not able to get 100% of the defects removed and did leave a few minor swirls behind that I am not happy with. So I purchased a new modern buffer to remove the remaining swirls and apply the Nano Bond again. I am only going to do the horizontal surfaces and top half of the doors this time though. In the end Nano Bond is an excellent product...and this comes from a man who religiously washed and waxed his car in the past to always have it looking its best. In one aspect it's a sad day because waxing my car was sort of religious experience for me, but after seeing how much better a Nano Bond surface looks compared to just wax and how much longer it holds up, not to mention the reduced wear and tear on my old shoulders and wrists....my waxing days are over. Now it will be Nano Bond every spring In the end I have no problem recommending Nano Bond if you want an amazing long lasting shine, but be prepared to do the prep work. Even if you plan to buff the surface to remove swirls, I highly recommend you use a clay bar product first. DO NOT skip this step. It will save you a lot of time buffing and guarantee a surface smooth like glass.

I research everything before making a purchase, so when it came to ceramic coatings you can bet I did A LOT of reading watching YouTube reviews of all the popular products. In the past I've used a spray on/wipe off ceramic coating (Griots Garage 3-n-1) with good success; however, I wanted a "real" ceramic coating like the professionals use. So, I'll cut right to the chase... There is a YouTube channel called Scott HD where he tests 30+ products on a car hood (the hood is divided up into a grid of 30 squares). He applies all the different ceramic coatings, then leaves the hood (it's not on a car) out in the Texas sun. Every month or so he'll wash the hood and then show you how each product is holding up by spraying the hood with water so you can see the water repel. The most popular, and by popular I mean most advertised on Facebook, YouTube, etc., with tons of "positive reviews" (which I believe are made-up) turned out to be the WORST product. And you want to know which one was still holding up after 700+ days? Nano Bond! Prior to researching all the products, I had never heard of Nano Bond, so when I saw how well it performed, I figured it's going to be in the $150+ range like many of the others. I was SHOCKED to see that it's one of the LEAST expensive ceramic coatings you can buy. Applying was easy, but I would recommend you purchase a decent applicator sponge (I use Adam's, which you can get on Amazon). NB comes with an applicator sponge, but it's a bit too small for my liking. You get six in the bag, and since the sponge will turn rock hard the next day, you'll need to toss it in the garbage when finished...but that's ok because a bag of six is dirt cheap. Before you apply NB, you'll need to prep the car PRIOR, which involves a good wash, clay, and any paint correction needed (paint correction refers to a good buffing if the paint has swirls, scratches, etc.). I bought a clay mitt and was able to get the impurities that stick to paint off in about 10 minutes. Just cover the car in soap and wipe it down with the mitt (I use an MTM soap cannon to cover the car). Be warned: the bottle is made of thick plastic and it's heavy, so it gives the false illusion that there is a lot of product in the bottle - this is misleading and in my opinon, a bit of dishonesty. I finished my SUV and though I had a ton product remaining in the bottle, when truth be told it was literally empty when I finished. I bought two bottles, so luckily I was able to do my car as well (picture attached). When you apply it, you put about 10 drops on the applicator sponge and then apply (the bottle says 3-4 drops, but it's also a much smaller applicator sponge compared to Adam's sponge I used). Once the sponge is a used after doing a section or two, you only need to add 4-5 drops for each subsequent section. A little goes a LONG way! I did the same for my other cars and knocked each one out from start to finish in about 2 hours (that includes all the prep work). The end result is phenomenal! I got caught in the rain today in my Jeep and when driving, the water just blew right off the car! No dirt and no water spots when I got home. The shine is awesome! Don't waste $1000 for a "professional" to do it (unless your car needs a lot of paint correction and you don't have the time/tools/skills to fix it). Since my cars always look like new and I detail them a lot, neither needed any paint correction.

I applied this coating July 2022 and it is now Aug 2023. This coating worked really well in the first couple months but it’s effectiveness rapidly diminished to a lower grade “spray like” ceramic. The hydrophobic properties are still apparent however this is because of the SI02 boosted sprays that I use. After a few washes without this spray the car was not very hydrophobic. With that in mind the coating did a great job of keeping the dirt and dust easy to remove when washing. I expected what I paid for and it maybe got a little more. I think this is great for first time ceramic applies because of its ease to apply and the fact that it’s not as permanent. Not to mention it’s also one of the cheapest out there! Overall pretty good coating.

Very pleased with this product. Like any of these it’s very much about the prep work. Our 22 Navigator was pretty hazed after 60k miles and still looked ok, but had lost much of the color depth and become impossible to keep remotely clean. I did 3 polishing processes using a griots garage random orbital polisher with progressively finer pads and compounds to get the clear back in shape. After a wash I applied the nano bond. I’ve used multiple ceramic coatings and this one was a nice combination of shine, but easy to work with as it doesn’t flash instantly. That really helped avoid any streaking as you can go back over the car multiple times with fresh fleece cloths to get any residual product polished clean. The drawback of that longer flash time is it needs to cure a few days. I waited a week before another wash (and this after driving 150 miles in a rain storm with very little grime build up) then applied griots ceramic wax over it. This photo was taken immediately after and I did not apply any filters or editing. It’s a ton of work, but very pleased with how this black rig turned out and I do recommend this product. Oh, and the one bottle did this big suv using about half of the liquid. I should have enough to do another car as a result.

Great product, and I may use it again, but I prefer a ‘Spray & Rinse’ to a hand applicator. I used Nano Bond on my RV, and the results were good, but not earth shattering compared to a typical Synthetic Wax (or 'Sealant'). I did one side of my RV as a test, and used other coatings for the other side and back. I followed the instructions explicitly and when I finally finished, the RV felt like glass. Beautiful. The instructions say to I let it 'cure' for 1 to 2 days before getting wet, so it sat in covered storage for a week. When the RV was in my driveway, the lower part of the RV got wet from the sprinklers and left water marks. I hosed it down hoping that it would clean right up, but it didn’t hose off. I had to wash the impacted areas with soap and a towel to get rid of it. I was hoping for a finish similar to a ceramic dish where light dirt would rinse off easily. Since then, It’s gotten rained on, and had road dust, etc. and each time it had to be hand washed. As a comparison, I bought a new boat and tried a product called Glidecoat which was $350, and to my surprise, it didn’t appear to be any different (I feel like a sucker now). I also tried a couple 'Spray & Rinse' coatings on the other side of the RV and on other cars. The immediate results of all of these were the same as Nano Bond, but the 'Spray & Rinse' ceramic coatings were so much easier to use. To apply, you wash the car (polish it if you need to), then rinse it with water, spray on the coating, and immediately rinse it off. You can do an entire car in 5 minutes. The only 'catch' of a 'Spray & Rinse' is that they are only rated to last 6 months or so. But since I wash my vehicles several times a year, it's easier to just re-apply the 'Spray & Rinse' coatings after each wash than to apply a coat by hand. If I do that, then I'm not concerned about a coating that will last years, and the application is easier. One tip.... I got tired of using spray bottles, so I found a 'Spray & Rinse' product that came in a gallon size which I purchased and then I used it with a Garden sprayer. Now I can cover my RV or Boat quickly and without a ladder. Plus, it can be used on glass, plastic or metal. All my vehicles are still going strong for me after 3 months. Check out 303 touches sealant if interested. I'll update this more in the future to let you know how long they last for me.

I had purchased the original formula about a year ago and I was blown away with the results. My BMW 335i and X5 are still to this day repelling water and look great. So I thought that purchasing the pro would be even better. Although this was very difficult to apply. It flashed immediately, I couldn’t even do a cross cross pattern bc the costing was sticky and would literally pull the suede applicator cloth off of the applicator block. By the time I got to knocking it down with a microfiber towel it was incredibly hard to wipe away. I followed all steps one should before ceramic coating-Wash, Decontaminate With an iron remover, clay bar, polish with compound first, then finishing pad and finishing polish, cleaned with wax and grease remover and then apply coating. Again I left a 3 out of 5 because the results look good, but the process to apply it was a PAIN compared to my original experience with the original formula. Just my honest review, I’m an amateur detailed at best, but I deff followed the correct steps in prep work and applying, not sure if anyone else had the same experience. Delivery was prime 1 day which was nice and they also include nicer applicator cloths and micro fiber towel than the original did so that’s a plus. Wouldn’t buy this formula again tho...

I’ve applied ceramic coating before (different brands), but saw this and decided I’d put it on the wife’s new car. Being a new car, there was not a lot of prep to be done. You should always wash, clay bar and buff regardless of the condition of the paint and I did that. Usually prep is the longest and hardest part, in my case this time at least, it was the easy part. Applying took the longest, not because the product is hard to use, but because the car was white and if you don’t have the right light conditions, seeing the product flash can be a little difficult. But this is a pretty forgiving ceramic coating compared to most, 2-4 minutes and then buff/wipe it off. Even if it cured a little too much, I found it would still come off fairly easy. They send you a buffing towel, I suggest having a couple extra plush microfiber towels on hand, because even if your folding your towels into quarters, the product will still build up. But I’m a little OCD on detailing anyway so I always go through extra towels when detailing. I also helped my friend apply this to his 2017 black Z06 Corvette, which needed a lot of paint correction, and after hours, I told my friend he had two choices, start wet sanding and cutting or apply it. We got the paint as close to perfect as possible and I was afraid the ceramic coating would really show those areas that we didn’t get as perfect as I would have liked. But, it went on great and turned out beautifully! The car looked like glass. Most coatings will really bring the slightest imperfections to the top and make them very noticeable, so we either did better than I thought on the correction or this product is just that good! I have now done this to two cars and on my wife’s daily driver, this is still beading after three months. If I can get 6-12 months, for the price, I’ll buy it again. Overall for the novice, this is a great product!

Awesome product! Im writing this one week after putting it on and so far I'm impressed. I washed and clayed my 2025 Miata before applying this. Application was really easy and my only tip is to lay on an thick and even first coat one panel at a time while covering everything. It was really easy to wipe off after applying too. You definitely dont want to miss a spot. My car now has an awesome gloss to it and the color is just a bit more rich. Definitely well worth the money, even if I have to reapply it on the few months; but we'll see.

This seems ok but quite expensive. It works into the body work well but after a month seems like the protection is gone.

It's very difficult to apply. Had to switch to a microfiber applicator because of how sticky the product was. Was barely able to move the applicator. Ended up having to continuous douse the applicator with the coating to keep it moving. Finish looks good. Not very slick to the touch. Durability needs to be seen as I applied very recently. It does however leave a slightly glossy finish.

Definitivamente no es un producto premium, pero se muestra de mejor consistencia que los cerámicos económicos. Yo lo puse en un auto negro. Y luce bien. Ya veremos al paso del tiempo si funciona adecuadamente.
