Wonderful little kit and so handy and easy to use. It has the perfect selection of coloured threads and tools required for all small leather/similar jobs

I needed to sew cloth patches onto a leather waistcoat. I tried to do this with a standard needle and thread, which was very difficult (and painful). I searched for a leather sewing kit on this site and came up with this. I was able to finish the sewing, however, it was still difficult but the waxed thread and the needle I chose from the kit managed to get this done. I did have to try several of the needles before I got one that went through the leather easier than the others. There are some added extras in the kit that are very useful so it can be used again in the future.

Adequate materials for my leather belt repair, except the “thimble” which was closer to a foil ring (with a gap in it and no protection for top of finger), and no cutting equipment. In my opinion a cutting board, knife, and thimble/finger protector or sail maker’s palm would be prudent accessories to buy alongside this for anything but the finest leather. And the thread provided is pretty heavy gauge, so the set is slightly mismatched. That said, it’s decent value and enabled me to fix my belt without too much trouble (thanks Ytube!)

Bought this set to repair a leather boots that had a hole in the side. The quality of the tools are what you would expect for a cheap kit but is suitable for beginners or for those wanting to try it out. I'm happy with this kit overall for doing small repairs.

Exactly as described. Brilliant value for money too. I was able to re-sew a better button to my leather jacket. The needle passed easily through the leather. I had bought this kit after struggling and breaking a couple of normal sewing needles while trying to sew the button.

Good little kit. In hind sight wouldn't buy it. Have ended up buying extra items to do my first pieces. Essentials are missing such as edge burnishers and curved stamp cutters - believe me you'll need both. And some beeswax wouldn't go amiss either. Over all okay, but I would have gone for one of the £30 sets with a few extras in them.

I was amazed by the amount of items I received in this one purchase. I've mended my sofa cushion with ease and have so many things left over! Honestly, this is a great purchase- 5 stars all the way

Comprehensive kit which offers excellent value for money. Good range of coloured waxed threads and plenty of needles. The items I have used so far have performed well and appear to be good, solid quality. The only niggle which stops me giving 5 stars is that the awl and needles are too big for fine or lightweight leather or canvas.
