Very nice book with large illustration and pictures. Good info on 1911 and 1911A1 pistols. Not encyclopedic info on every possible part number etc. but enough for an owner or collector to have good knowledge of history and use of this weapon.

It was used but in very good shape. Very informative on the 1911 history . Good price and shipped fast . I am very satisfied with this purchase . will advise others to buy this book .

It's got great photos and a good amount of information but it's nowhere close to a reference book, which the description doesn't really clarify. Stick it out on your coffee table and have fun with it but it doesn't have the detail I thought it would provide. It's otherwise well constructed and excellent pictures.

another good reference book on M1911s

While I like the information and photo layout, I have to wonder why this book couldn't be printed in Europe or North America? Most of the folks that buy books like this aren't too poor to cough up another $10 or $15.
