easy to apply and although they don't really "glow" in the dark they do make the edge of the step much more visible. my main gripe is that even though the surface was scrubbed and clean as directed and the adhesion was very good when the tape was applied in the hot summer weather, as soon as our weather turned cold the adhesive is no longer holding like it should. I may end up having to remove it because it will start to be a tripping hazard if it loosens up any more

We have fiberglass decks and when they get wet they can be quite slippery. I have these right at the end of deck before my step down to go down the stairs and they are very effective. They grip great and I am glad I have it.

You might ask how this glow in the dark tape can be a lifesaver? Allow me to explain what that means. In my home I have two steps that lead to my master bedroom. It was 2:00 on the morning, but that meant nothing to my dog. He was thirsty and pushing his bowl because it was empty and he wanted his water. Time meant nothing to him. Of course I got up and filled his water bowl. On the way back to my bedroom, it was very dark and I missed one step and fell down hard. It’s a wooden floor so there is no cushioning at all. I landed pretty hard and hurt my neck, arm and back. Okay so the next day I was thinking how I could prevent another fall. Night light, no. Dim bulb in the room, no too distracting. Finally I decided on glow in the dark tape. Like most people, I took a beline to Amazon. I found the adhesive tape with a glowing green line and a rough surface to prevent anyone from sliding or tripping on it. Wow, did it work! I was up again, but this time I saw the glowing lines indicating the ends of both steps. Wow, why didn’t I think about this earlier? If you have a dark area in your home with steps without lights, or an older parent or relative, this tape really can be a life saver, literally. For the price of this tape it is well worth it to prevent anyone from having a rough fall like I did. Addendum: In all honesty I must mention one negative since I’ve been utilizing this tape for some time now. The negative is that I notice in total darkness the glow portion of the tape is not so bright. I turn on a light above the steps every night for one hour hoping this will “charge” the luminescent portion. I did some investigating and discovered the best way of charging it is to shine a UV light for three minutes on each portion of the glow strip. I just purchased a UV flashlight and protective glasses. I will attempt a charge tonight and will follow up with updated information after using the UV light.

Needed tape for pier steps at an airbnb. This tape is really great...it sticks nicely to vinyl steps, fluorescence on tape along with the grippy texture helps add safety. This is second v time purchasing for another set of steps. Love all security added. Lasted all season. Great purchase.

Other people may have had better luck than I did, but I followed the direction, made sure that the surface was cleared, clean, dry, and the appropriate temperature, and the tape just didn't stick on ONE of the stairs. The other one worked just fine and is still there now over a year later, but the other one came off hours later and I couldn't tell you what the different between the two was. I am going to give the product a 3 because of that though I will admit I may be undermarking them and it may have been user error or something on the step I didn't notice. It is a really great texture with a lot of grip though the visibility line isn't very bright and doesn't catch the light like I thought it would. Overall good quality tape - if I got it would depend on the price that day.

I bought it for my entrance to the basement which has a slope, I separated the strips a foot apart , now I can go there without fear of slipping when is raining! Good product!

It s just a tape, does not glow in the night light.
