Breathe Naturally Replacement Carbon Pre-Filters Compatible with Hunter 30901, HEPAtech and QuietFlo Air Purifier - Activated Charcoal Filter Sheet - 16" x 30"x 0.2" (Pack of 2, Carbon Prefilters)

This replacement pre-filter is good. I bought it for my Hunter 30547 PermaLife Air Purifier . It needs to be cut to size. It fits into the unit well and is nearly the same thickness as the original pre-filter. Already I can see it is starting to catch dust and hair, and it seems to be working well. Only had it for a few weeks. Air smells good. I was also looking for a replacement for the "permanent filter" for this Hunter air purifier. Replacement parts for this unit were hard to find; it is out of production. The "permanent filter" was not available on Amazon, however. Many retailers also had search engines hits, however these were all unavailable. So many search hits were absolutely useless. I found only one that was actually available for sale; it is at filtersfast for about $50. So if another another Amazon shopper is trying to find this I hope it helps you.

I easily cut these sheets to size to use as pre-filters in a couple of different brands of HEPA air cleaner units. The units originally came with the thinnest foam pre-filters but this carbon filter is thicker and traps more dust. I cut dozens of filters from this one package so I can replace monthly without breaking the bank.

After vacuuming and washing my existing filter several times I had the thought, "There has to be an easier solution", so I started looking for replacement filters, pardon me, PRE-filters to fit my Hunter Douglas brand 30180 model air purifier. If you're looking at the picture like I was, you're thinking, "This looks like a rug, not a something that's going to fit in the allotted space". When it arrived I realized that yes, it is just two long folded up mats of carbon activated pre-filter. The good news is, I don't think there's an air purifier in the world that this WON'T fit into because it's huge and is designed to be cut to fit. The other good news is it's really, really easy to do, and you're left with enough for seven more changes (in my case anyway)! The quality seems great and they work. What more could you ask for! Would I prefer to just be able to order the right size of pre-filter replacements for my unit? Yes. Beyond that though, I have no complaints! NOTE: In my pictures I have the old peice laying on top of the new stuff so you can see the size different, but it should be noted that I had already cut a new piece out of that first sheet. When they arrive, both are the size of the bigger one in the picture.

I use these for a hunter's purifier and yes they work quite well. And a price wasn't bad either. Some places are much more expensive. I will be ordering some more .

I bought the smaller size and they are still maybe twice the size of my Hunter 30090 air purifier so I may be getting 4 filters for the price of two. I am also laying some carbon prefilter over our air duct vents. It is not useful to purify the air and then shoot more dust etc into the room via the furnace. We have never cleaned our air ducts and we moved here more than 50 years ago. I seriously doubt the previous owner cleaned them either. Not only is it expensive, but it also must be done in the spring or fall after the furnace is turned off and before the airconditioner is turned on. Now it is too late. However, this year the dust in the air from the ducts is pretty bad. Everyone is coughing whenever the heat kicks on. As a quick fix, I am placing some pieces of prefilter over the vents. It does not stop the heat but does stop the dust. It makes no sense to use a hepa filter air purifier and at the same time pull up more dust through the vents.

The quality of these cut to fit filter sheets are fine. Just a warning however...I did not realize that these sheets measuring 16" x 30" were not the same size as a previous purchase of "16 x 48" sheets (my mistake...hoping to prevent you from making the same one). It makes a big difference in the number of filters I can get per sheet but in the long run, these are still better priced than buying pre-cut filters.

I'm happy with this product. It is comparable to the manufacture filter. I got six filters out of the package. The downside is that you have to cut them to size, so the number of filters that you get out of the package will depend on your HEPA filter size.

Desperately needed a charcoal pre-filter to replace OE in an older Hunter unit, found this. Listing said it was a direct replacement, but I had to cut it some to fit...no big deal. Seems to be working well, price was right.
