Good holding strength
We have a bookcase/hidden door and this magnet was the perfect strength to hold it shut and with a light pull opens easily. A great value for the price.

Works well.
Excellent. Bought some smaller catches that had next to no hold. This catch does the trick.

High quality magnets, bad screws
Design - The magnets themselves are quite strong. Lining things up is a bit tricky & there are no instructions. Adding the mounting tape to the back of the metal piece then just closing the door, hoping it would stick to the door didn't work as the magnets are too strong. Ended up going through a trial & error of moving the metal piece until it was in position to catch. Overall, these are good magnets, but unless you need them this strong for a reason then go for the smaller strength ones. They worked out ok for the jewelry cabinet they got installed on, but some don't catch like we thought they would. Also, the included screws suck. They should've went a size smaller & because they are magnetic they can be annoying to install because they get caught on the magnet. They also don't thread well into wood so they can easily be pulled out.

I recommend them, I included tips and photos
I'm going to post my review here and some tips and photos to help people with installation. Short version, I recommend them. Magnets are strong, not sure if they're "90lbs" strong, but I put these on kitchen cabinets and they feel slightly over-powered. That might be good for homes with toddlers. For weaker individuals like seniors or people with disabilities it might be better to get the next size down from the 90lbs magnets because it might make it too difficult to open, but I have not tested any other size. The sticky strips they include are useless. I ended up throwing them all away. They are too weak/magnets are too strong, so when you pull it open the plate peels off of the door. I read many complaints about the screws being terrible and snapping. I did not have any issues with them. They were all extremely sharp, and they provide a 5 pack per magnet, so you get 1 extra each. They look... nearly stainless. They don't look like normal stainless screws though. I got these and installed them for my parents, who cannot afford new cabinets or to replace all the hinges that are currently allowing the doors to hang open. These worked perfectly for us. Now for my tips. Please reference my photos if I did not describe it clearly. I'm going to explain what I find is the easiest way, but not the only way to mount these. First of all, the plate that mounts to the doors has chamfered holes which allow the screws to sit more flush, which means the plates are directional. 1. Place both screws into the chamfered side of the plate, then stick the plate to the magnet so that the screws are pointing out. 2. Open the cabinet and place the magnet low enough so your drill can screw straight into the wood. Put the top screw in first but only halfway, and let the magnet with the plate and screws hang. Put the screw in the center of the wood so you do not split it apart. 3. Now put in the bottom screw for the magnet, again only halfway. Now you can slide the magnet towards yourself or away to change the depth for how you want the door to sit when it's closed, now tighten both screws completely. The magnet should now be fully mounted with the plate stuck to it and the screws pointing towards the door. 4. Lightly slam the door repeatedly into the screws to transfer screw locations onto the door. 5. Remove the plate from the magnet and attach the plate with both screws to the door. That's it, it should be complete and sit flush with the cabinet.

One small but important problem…
Pretty simple product. Housing is fine, magnet is as strong as described, contact plate is OK but the countersunk holes are not deed enough to ensure that the contact plate screws are flush to the plate. And then there is the gelatinous goop adhesive that is needed for blind lining up of magnet and contact plate. Out of six magnets I mounted, only two of the adhesive strips worked as advertised. The other were dried out so as to compromise their adhesion. I went from installing the two where the adhesive worked in about 4 minutes each. The remaining four took the better part of an hour.

Very strong magnets.
Very strong! Too strong almost. I used these for my French door and I had to put a layer of clear tape on one side of the magnets to dampen the noise it makes when it makes contact to prevent the baby from accidently waking up.

Keeps My Closet Door Closed, Finally!!!
These magnets were installed to replace the broken door catches on our French door-style linen closet. The 20lb magnets worked out well and the doors are easy to open, and the magnets connect strong enough to keep the door closed. They’re a great substitute for the contractor grade spring and ball latches that always seem to fail after a few years. We’ll be replacing all of our broken latched with these.
