Review: Four Stars - Nice book, historical, minimal help for learning how to ride... Review: Great little book. - I had this book in hardcover decades ago and am thrilled to get a kindle copy. Great info for total newbies, and for ones, like me, who rode before and are gearing up to ride again after time away (25 years between rides in my case). ๐

Method requires 2 helpers. Useful info
I just taught myself to unicycle and bought this book to get some tips and learn what I could have done better or different. This book's technique is based on having 2 helpers every time you practice. While this may be the "best" method, most people will not have 2 people that can invest the hours to month he suggests. I did pick up some good conceptual information an pointers that would have helped me while learning by leaning against a wall at 7-Eleven. In addition, he has some good tips on turning, learning to mount, and riding backwards. I still recommend the book, but don't expect to necessarily use its main method of learning.

Informative
Good book for beginners it helped and confirmed some of the things I was doing right knowledgable author . For me idling really seemed to help as an middle aged man I want to catch myself with the bike as I fall. Riding more than 5 ft at a time came later.

Okay
this book is okay since it tells you how to ride a unicycle and it is easy but you have to have two people or it will take you a very very long time to learn if you are a beginner.

Still the best book on learning how to unicycle - I read it 37 years ago!!
This is seriously the best book on learning how to unicycle, build different unicycles, and have fun with it. I read this at my local library over 37 years ago. Following the book's guidance, I learned to ride in 3 hours and it set me off on a lifetime of unicycling. I have been trying to find Jack's contact info to write him a personal thank you note, but it's not online, so I can only hope he reads this review! Get yourself a copy of this book - yes, it's super old, but the info is still relevant and well organized.
