I have been looking for something that was Non GMO and safe to use. The first few days it did affect my stomach but after a week of using, it subsided and I haven't had any more problems. I use it in my coffee every morning and I use it in my iced tea. My granddaughter even liked it and she is picky. As far as it melting in my coffee, it does. I add it to my tea while I am boiled the bags. I have added a 1/2 tsp to my almond milk and stir and after 2 or 3 minutes it does dissolve.I can't have any sugar on weight watchers and this has really been a real help for me getting off of sugar. It does not have an after taste at all. The first time I tried it, I put a spoon in and put a little bit on the spoon and tasted and it was a real delight. I like the way the package is made, it is like velcro at the top and that is nice, if it falls over it does not spill out. I don't understand why it is so expensive though. Puritans Pride has 2.5 pound bag (not morning prep) and it is just $13.99 with shipping and handling it is $17.94. There shipping is 5 to 8 days though. If is even available in toothpase and mints to help stop cavities. Another plus: Xylitol is shown to NOT increase your glycemic index, which means it should be prescribed (oops, no, Dr's won't prescribe because it is not patentable, but look up the research.) Doctors and dentists should be routinely recommending this to replace sugar in your diet. But alas, no $ no recommendation to do so. Sad state of medical affairs (mostly with Big Pharma).
