Godinger Shannon Night Water Carafe with Tumbler Glass - The Carafe Holds 16 oz, The Cup 8 oz

I bought this for my bedside table. It looks very nice and is heavy enough and the right shape so that I do not knock it over in the night. The glass is heavy crystal, and the carafe holds 2 or 3 glasses of water. Perfect for my needs.

This set is so beautiful, classy, and timeless. It’s heavy and thick. I absolutely love it! I initially wished it were bigger but then I thought about the weight. A larger one would have been harder for my son to manage while pouring water at the dinner table. I am in the middle of setting up a beautiful dinner table for me and my son to have meals every night. I like this for having ice water. This was a great buy!!

love this item; perfect by my bedside

Everything I wanted in a bedside carafe and glass. It has a nice weight and feel to it. It holds enough for an average night for me and not so much that I'm wasting it by needing to pour it out the next morning. I had one years ago from Pier One; it had a handle and was extremely plain. The only really neat thing about that one was that the glass sat inside the rim of the carafe. It was thin, however, and I was always terrified that it would bump something while I was using it in the dark and shatter. This one is more delicate looking and seems much more sturdy than the one I used to have. It is beautiful and would make a wonderful gift. Oh, and the Pier One carafe was clutch your chest feel like a heart attack expensive. If had not been looking for one for so long I would not have gotten it.

I accidently ordered the Dublin set first but the 4 ounce cup was too small so I ordered the Shannon which has an 8 ounce cup. This set will work fine for me but it is VERY heavy. I have had many carafes but this one is unusual, a larger carafe, and a heavier weight. The first photo compares the two cups, the Shannon and the Dublin. The second compares the size of the two carafes.

I’m loving this carafe on my night table! It’s quite heavy, so I’m not worried about knocking it over in the dark. It holds enough water for 4 glassfuls, and I don’t have to worry about my water bottles getting musty and growing mold under the gaskets that they all seem to have. It may be too heavy for arthritic hands to lift but otherwise it’s quite beautiful and I would buy it again and it would make a nice gift to someone whose bedroom decor is traditional or provincial, Not contemporary .

My bedside water carafe is not only very functional but it is beautiful. Just love it.
