Exact replacement
The original part kept skipping off of the flap tab which made it appear that it was broken when it really wasn’t. This is an exact replacement of the original part but the new one seems to be tighter at the tab location versus the original. Only time will tell. Also, the YouTube video showing how to replace this part is essential to understand how to get the panels off of the fridge.

ice flap door motor replacement
DC motor for LG refrigerator ice door flap. Ice was not coming down because the ice door flap was not opening. I had call a service rep and they wanted $620 to fix. looked on youtube on how to replace. hardest thing is prying off the control panel. i used a putty knife and took my time. part is easy to replace. 3 screws and the connector just pulls off. total time less then 15min.

Perfect fit for our LG refrigerator
Replaced the motor which opens the chute to drop ice out of the ice maker. This motor was the exact drop-in replacement.

Part was perfect, delivery was minimal packaging, arrived in great condition
Our ice dispenser kept grinding the ice but wouldn't open the chute in our Kenmore Elite. Instead, the ice would clog up the chute and freeze solid. Finally ordered this part, had it within 48 hours, and had it installed in 10 minutes. Hardest part was getting the vanity panels pried off. We should have done it months ago!

Failed after 8 months in service
The new part, installed in a Kenmore Refrigerator made by LG, lasted only eight months before failing. LG product support could not get past the refrigerator not having an LG model number, even though my warranty question was about the new part I had installed. LG gave me a number to call for Kenmore Support that was a wrong number. My take away is that if you have a Kenmore unit and are concerned about the part being covered under any kind of warranty that you would have to buy the part from Kenmore directly (even though it is an LG part).
