I checked it using s 36" yardstick and inserted it into the case. Also, is the outside poket removeable?** A: There is a sleeve inside, so it will only hold 1 shaft. The outside pocket is made to be move, but not removable. The pouch's oval shape is not rounded with a few pointy ends. It feels hard enough to protect from outside damage and soft inside to keep your cue well cushioned. However, the bottom of the case where it touches the ground if you stand it vertically, is kind of thin. It's an area that would wear the most and I would not be surprised if it's the first to give. A similar design would cost half as much for where I reside, I thought it would be of a higher quality through Amazon, but apparently it's similar and made in China just with a Casemaster branding. Overall it's a decent case if price is not part of the consideration.
