Judy, young cats need the exact same nutritional profile food as adult cats, just more of it usually.  The current trend of specialty diets (indoor, outdoor, kitten, adult, hairball, active, overweight, etc...) is more a marketing ploy than science.  All healthy cats regardless of age or "lifestyle" require a high animal protein, low to no carbohydrate, high moisture content diet. Kittens and lactating queens require considerably more food per lb of body weight than adult non-breeding cats - otherwise their nutritional needs are identical.

Why do you put carrageenan in your pet foods when it is a known carcinogen?!!!!

Food grade carrageenan (Irish Moss) is safe to eat. Poligeenan  is carcinogenic, and is not an ingredient listed in this cat food or any pet food I know of.

Just got out a magnifying glass and read the label - no grain of any type listed.  I'm not sure where it says whole grains as on my label it says grain free.
