Simply Perfect
I was having trouble with stuck or tight shackles. Simple effective solution and feels very durable. Would buy again.

Not your run of the mill bottle opener.
Bought it to put on my keyring. Did not want the same old same old. Works great! Don't even notice it in the pocket.

I like it
Nice product - a bit costly

Perfect for opening cans
This is great as a bottle opener, but it's the most effective can popper that I have ever used. Saves my fingernails, while simultaneously making me wish that I was crossing seas.

Works, buy it
Exactly what it should be.

Poor quality
Not good quality - bends easily with any vaguely tight shackle pin.... which defeats the object!

LOW QUALITY!
Luta low quality

All the tools needed for surviving apocalypse
Some 80% or more of prep tools includes a combination of tools that open sealed packages such as boxes, bottles, and cans. I got this for the functions of opening bottles and lifting can tabs. I have a shackle that the key works on so that is bonus. The shackle key works on a broader range of shackle sizes than larger tools I have seen. As a rescue tool, it can be used on an O2 tank. I have not tested it on an O2 tank but a longer version with more leverage could work for weaker hands. I would get one so it would fit better in a knife sheath with a Byrd or Spyderco rescue knife. A longer version could double as a flat-tipped marlinspike and glass breaker. The best bottle open and tab lifter is a Glock Model 81 Survival Knife with saw. The shackle key is portable in places where a knife may look too aggressive. The knife requires fine motor control because it has such overwhelming leverage. The cap tab is lifted by sliding the blade under the tab with the saw facing towards and the edge facing away. The shackle key has less leverage but easily handles bottle caps and soda can tabs. It fits in the watch pocket without a keychain. I like to leave it as is without even a lanyard. Pair this tool with a reliable SAK such as the camper model so you can have a can opener, saw, and cork screw to survive apocalypse.

Bends so easily, not suitable for shackle opening.
This may be a beer opener, but it isn't a shackle tool worth having. It bent the minute I tried to open a firmly closed, decent sized shackle on my 40 foot boat. If you have a toy boat, this may be the product for you, but if you have a real boat, you need real tools - this aint it!I don't know why they are wasting metal making this when for $3 more metal they could create a quality product.
