**edit** finally got to take this pack out for a weekend. There's no padding across the lower back section. Just a metal bar that left a bruise on back of my hips. I still plan to use it but deffinty need to add padding first. One of my favorite things about this pack is that the hip support and suspension system can be removed. Making it a standard backpack. Not that I plan to use it that way but interesting option. Especially if it ever needs replaced. So let's get down to it. I like this pack. I have a 65l pack but I don't get out on a lot of long distance hikes. I wanted something for weekend hikes. I picked this one because it had an internal frame. Decent looking hip pads. Most of all I found the overall design to be appealing. The hip belt tightens from center and the sides. Which is another feature I like. There is a noticeable lack of quality in the straps and buckles.
