I'm terrible at taking before and after pictures BUT this product is from heaven above! I had bought one of the small electric shaver and it barley did anything. We do allow our dog on the couch and plus just normal wear, this shaver made our couch return to almost brand new. Worth the money for sure. I used the larger shaver like suggest in the instructions and other reviews then went back with #2 (middle) shaver to just clean it up. Seriously a dream.

I have a large sectional that has a cloth crosshatch type fabric on it and it had begun to pile which was uncomfortable and unsightly. I bought this tool and it worked great to remove all the piles. I used the most aggressive head attachment and found that going both ways in all four directions really worked well. I then used the fine permanent lint roller as the very last step to gather up any remaining lint I had created when doing the "shave" :) I found the tool to be sturdy and it did not break. The only design hiccup was when I was gripping it sometime I'd hit the release button for the shave head, no biggie, just a small annoyance. I hope to use this on my clothing, jackets, and vehicle seats too in the future! Great buy!

Purchased because it said it could help with rugs. I have a wool rug that I need cleaned up and has heavy pulling. Tried it with no luck. Not good for rugs even with the heavy duty attachment. Tried it on my king size headboard that has light fuzz balls and it worked great with the heavy duty attachment. So basically it’s good for light /basic usage even with heavy attachment. It is lightweight , easy to use, easy to swap out attachments. Comes with a nice storage bag. Bonus no batteries needed

Love this . I was about to throw out my grandsons blanket. It dropped little fuss balls all over the house . This helped me brush them all off his blanket.

Did an excellent job on my couch but since I needed to use it on almost every cushion it deteriorated pretty quickly. $20 for a newer looking couch isn’t bad but hoped it lasted longer. Plan to look for a longer lasting product but would buy again if I can’t find one.

I first started seeing the cheesy commercials for this thing around Thanksgiving 2013. You know how crappy products start making tv appearances before xmas? I assumed this was another piece of plastic trash destined for landfill. Yet -- something tugged at my pile-infested heartstrings....could this be the product I've been secretly dreaming of?? It's true that in the deepest, darkest, echoing caverns of my pessimistic heart a tiny voice does indeed cry out for a device that can clean fuzz-globs from my favorite socks and sweaters. Somewhere, a part of myself I lost touch with long ago -- yearns for crisp, clean clothes that look like new. Oh, I've tried the shavers. Those things are bloody torture. We should lock [insert bad person here] in cages with sweater shavers and an endless supply of fleece. Anyway, we're talking about the Gleener here so I'll get on with it. Is the price high? It seems high, doesn't it? The price kept me away from several months. But here's the thing to consider: Imagine the sweater or whatever article of clothing you have in mind for the Gleener. How much did that cost you? If you could have that article of clothing again -- free and clear of those nasty hair-globs clinging menacingly to it -- what would you pay for that?? Because the Gleener does remove piles. Depending on the type of fabric it removes them pretty easily. It breezes across fleece. Wool is trickier, depending on the knit. I had three sweaters that I would no longer wear outside of the house because the piles were too bad. I also had two pairs of snowboarding socks that cost me like $25 each -- those were trashed! But the Gleener cleaned everything up, no problem. The sweater took ten minutes, I'd say, and I'm thorough. So yeah, this is practically a miracle device. Gone are days of wasting tape trying to pull hairballs off my clothes. Lastly, and some may consider this a negative but it's worth pointing out -- this isn't really a *shaver* -- it doesn't have blades. The roughest 'blade' is like a mesh that grabs the piles -- like velcro almost. So if your issue is extra fuzz, like loose yarn or hairs -- I'm not sure the Gleener will help. I have a wool sweater from Ireland that practically looks like a Pekingese at this point -- the Gleener removed some fuzz, but not enough so that you could discern the individual strands of yarn. in closing -- it's pretty well built, sturdy construction and it does what it says.

Didn't work well at all, and actually made the problem worse by pulling out some of the threads on one of my garments. Maybe this product is only effective on specific fabrics, but to me it seems to be all hype and marketing.

I basically never write reviews, but until I become an "influencer" who can be sponsored by Gleener (and being sponsored by Gleener is the only reason I'd ever want that to happen), I have to pimp them out any way I can! Forget fabrics like cotton, wool, etc., this thing will bend the fabric of TIME AND SPACE ITSELF to remove pilling! I had, like any sane person, essentially given up on lint rolling my pea coat, but this thing handled it like a boss. I've used all three edges on different types of fabric, and it's worked spectacularly every time! I've tried using it right after an electric shaver, and the amount of leftovers it picks up is way more than the electric one grabbed in the first place. I'm fairly certain there's some sort of black magic involved, but for this kind of performance, I can live with that! I'm not brave enough to try it on a cabled sweater, and I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Smooth out the garment first, and watch for anything that might snag, especially if you're using the edge for bulkier pills. But as long as I treat it right, I won't have any qualms about using this even on my hand knits! I've used it on a couple of pairs of hand knit socks, already. Thanks to the people who make this thing! I can only assume that you're all some kind of magic anime ninjas, or something along those lines, and you've chosen to use your skills for this, instead of an of adventure that would undoubtedly end in punching the moon so hard it splits into several pieces, each of which would spawn a new kind of life form, and they'd all fight for control over the solar system after a time skip. On behalf of humanity, I'd like to assure you that you've chosen well, even though I know you'd find a way to bring harmony to the galaxy in the end. Our sweaters will remain fabulous, thanks to your decision.
