First, a hint on cleaning - toothbrush! I tried pulling hair off by hand (ugh), and with a paper towel, TP etc, but it just didn't grab it. Then I found an unused sample toothbrush floating around and tried that. It works great! The bristles easily dislodge the hair from the perforated portion as well as the little "saucer" area and sweep them into a clump.Now the review: it works great! My tub originally had a flat disc with holes in it that worked well for several years. Well, it accumulated clumps of hair on the surface but I think a lot more got through causing eventual buildups . I'd seen the Tubshrooms several years ago, but there were complaints about the silicone getting nasty. I already had a kitchen sink drain/strainer that was silicone and didn't want to go through that, so didn't buy it. Fast forward and now there is a stainless steel one! I jumped on that and am happy that I did.It does collect the hair. I have shortish hair (ladies' pixie type) that is thinning. I find that after 4-5 showers, the drain gets sluggish and the water level rises.. So when I get done, I pop it out and clean it with my handy toothbrush and whoosh, my fast drain is back, making happy burbles.Happy with my purchase so far and would buy again if needed.

This little thing is awesome for catching hair, while also allowing water to run through. I still have a hard time cleaning the hair part without gagging, but it’s much easier and efficient than the regular hair trap,With the design it catches the hair underneath so you don’t have to look at that either. It’s built/designed well; you just lift it out by the top part and clean the creepy stuff off the part that catches it. It’s very lightweight but sturdy and heavy enough it stays in place,And it looks nice, too. It has the creepy stuff hidden, so you don’t have to look at hair and whatever else is mixed in with that mess of creepiness. The size works perfect, it’s smaller than a trip, and has a nice look to it.

I tried to cheap out before buying this product. I tried $3 to $5 products and it'll either clog very easily and also drain the water out very slowly. This product doesn't do this. It'll take a couple of showers for it to clog and you'll know when it clogs when the water dosent go down as fast. It's very easy to unclog, either just take a paper tower or your hands and the hair will just be on the rubber gasket in a circle shape. Takes a couple of seconds to unclog. Such a simple design and works great. Wish I didnt cheap out before getting this

The TubShroom Ultra does a great job of catching hair - probably the most effective hair catcher I’ve used. It fits securely in the tub drain and snags both short and long strands before they go down the pipe.The only downside is that as it starts to fill with hair, it can slow down water drainage quite a bit. You’ll need to clean it regularly to avoid water pooling up during your shower. Thankfully, cleanup is easy: just pull it out, wipe the hair off, and rinse if needed.The stainless steel top looks sleek, and the included rubber adapters made it easy to get a snug fit in my drain. Overall, it does what it’s meant to do—but just know you’ll want to check it often if you shed a lot of hair or share the tub with others.Still a solid product, and I’d recommend it - just with that small heads-up.

I was worried this wouldn't work because I have a drain stopper which meant that it would stick out of the drain about 1/2 cm, but it still works! If you step on it, it will tilt because of the gap, but easy to readjust. So this could work for you even if your drain isn't deep enough.I had tried a silicone one before this that sat on top of the drain but this product is much better at catching hair

I've had other hair catchers that just sat on top of the drain, and sometimes, it felt like maybe it impeded how the water was draining. Once switching to this, the water drains well and catches all the hair. I've found that you'll need to check it at least every 2-3 days to clear out the hair, product scum, and other things that get caught in it. Very good product and gets the job done!
