The largest log size is 250mm in diameter, 150kg in weight and 2.4m in length.

**Q: To compare the robustness with other apparently similar products, what are the dimensions of the section of the main profiles (horiz. and vert)? Thanx**
A: Not sure what you mean by the main profiles, but it is a substantially built product.  The beams are 50mm by 25mm rectangular cross-section and the steel is approx. 1.5 mm thick (measured with an old steel rule).  It is quite heavy to lift and holds a 1.5m long, 15 cm diameter log firmly for chain sawing.  One of the bolts were missing on delivery, but the sellers sent me a replacement very quickly.  Also, for moving about when collapsed, I tie the sections together to stop them swinging about.  Hope this helps.

**Q: Will this hold small logs that are just a bit to long to fit in store,  to be able to cut them with chainsaw so they can fit in stove ?**
A: You can adjust the teeth of the log holder, to allow holding of different sized logs for cutting.

However cutting in close to get the right length can be tricky. 

One way you can counter act this problem is to insert the log into the holder making sure its secure and the teeth have a good grip, then cut from the back first, tight up to the holder and then you can work down the log from the front until you reach your desired log length.

Practice makes perfect and you will be able to judge after using it more and more.

This is wicked. Easy to fold and unfold. Folds up nice a flat for storage. Holds all the sizes of logs you need it to. Nice and sturdy. Seems well made. Good value for the time it saves. Most important thing is that it allows you to chainsaw at a comfortable height.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Log Buddy is your best buddy for larger log cutting jobs.

The build quality is good, and once you have put it together initially (takes 10 mins) it is really sturdy. Once built it can be loosened up to fold down for transporting and storage. Used it a few times now and it really makes the job easier (and safer ) when you have many trees and branches to chainsaw. Easy to use - a simple push through the gate, the gate with "teeth" counter swings back and grips the log to the fixed bottom bar with "teeth". Trick is to find a good balance with the log/branch and then it holds firm for the cut. Once you get the hang of it you will be ripping through all your wood in no time. One thing to note is that when using for smaller branches - say 70mm or less diameter - it struggles to hold firmly unless the wood is heavy or you force it firmly, but there is an adjustable height option on the gate which may help this (i havent used it yet - too lazy) - but for any big stuff this is just the job!
