The tweezers gripped the hairs and because the tip is so sharp, I was able to be exact and pluck hairs one at a time.* Tweezers are made really well. It is steel painted in black. Feels made well, I can see that it will last for a long time.* From end to end, the tweezers are a little over 4.5 inches.* The tip has a cover so that the end doesn't get blunt or caught on something (because the tip is pretty sharp).* Easy to hold while in use.* I can imagine this would be good to use to get splinters out because of the sharp tip. I have two boys, so I will get my share of uses for this tweezer for splinters.I was able to purchase this with a discount, but I honestly love this tweezer. I use it on my face to tweeze my eyebrows and some unwanted hair on my upper lip. It is very precise. I'm able to pull out hair in one try.
