Grizzly Pet Products Pollock Oil Dog Food Supplement, 32 Ounce

This a much more affordable fish oil for my dogs and they LOVE it! It's a great source for the Omegas which help they skin/coat, heart function and joints! I have purchased the more expensive oils and have not noticed a difference. This product is more affordable and it comes from a sustainable fish source. Our fisheries are so heavily fished why not make this choice for this product for your dog when you can't tell a difference and its less expensive and higher in Omegas and they love it!! I have not found it to have an overpowering fish odor. I give coconut oil to them in the am and this fish oil for their evening feedings. This seems to help my white sensitive Old English Bulldog's coat and skin. His skin is so dry and itchy all of the time this seems to offer him some relief. And the added benefit is it helps maintain his cardio health and joints which is necessary for larger bulkier dogs in my opinion. My other dogs love this as well and I figure it helps them overall too. My only complaint is I don't care for the pump as once it gets down to the bottom it makes it difficult to access the small amount left. I realize a lot of people prefer pumps just please offer a flip top cap or a push down cap option. Other products with pumps come with a closed sealed cap and attach a pump so all sides are happy. :)

After giving this to my dog for two days (4 meals), I've already noticed a change in the softness of his fur and he's not scratching all the time either. I'm so happy he's feeling better again. I had him on Missing Link Ultimate Skin and Coat for about 2 years. That worked great on his allergies and his bad habits of eating goose poo as we walked. That in itself was wonderful. But all of a sudden it just stopped working. I noticed bald spots appearing and he started scratching all the time. I saw this Grizzly Pollock Oil had pretty good reviews. It was cheaper than salmon oil, and adding it to the Blue Buffalo he already gets wouldn't hurt him any so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm so glad I did. It doesn't smell at all. Doesn't give him gas. I'd given him pills before and oh boy was it awful. None of that with this. So far so good.

This product works well for both of my dogs (one is 1 1/2 years old and one is 10 years old). It has helped my dandruff stricken dog get a healthier shinier coat and less dandruff. It has helped my older girl get less rough coat and better overall skin health (I rescue her when she was 10 years old already and her previous owner had not taken that great care of her and she had a skin irritation along side real rough coat, which is not common on the breed). However...this still oil and some dogs (like mine) do not tolerate the fat on it as well as others. So please introduce it slowly on their food or mix it with other foods ( I make my own homemade add on instead of buying can dog food to add to their kibble. I don't raw feed or anything like that, but making this add on is overall cheaper than buying can dog food with fillers and cheap no good meat by-products) with chicken-no skin, oats, green beans and sweet potatoes. After I cook this and it has cooled down some I add about half a cup or a whole cup ( depending on how much I make) to their food and stir it in to lessen the amount of straight up oil in their diet. Otherwise, my young dog gets the runs and it is not fun.

I use this oil in my chocolate lab's food twice daily. He often gets compliments on his coat. I order a large bottle then transfer to the smaller pump bottle. I admit I have a love/hate relationship with pumps -- they are quite convenient as long as there is sufficient product, but when the product runs low it's a pain to remove the top and get the oil out. For these times (low quantity) and for travel, I have found another lid that fits the bottle that is like the shampoo lids that you can open and close without the hassle/benefit of the pump. Sure, you can screw the pump down for travel but that seems to make a mess as well. It has an odor but nowhere near the smell of some other fish oil products. I did one time get a bad bottle (smelled rancid) but not from Amazon, from a local pet store, but who knows how long that was on their shelf. Have always received fresh product here.

We have 4 wonderful dogs, Argus the German Dobie, Sheela the American black Lab, Samson the miniature French Poodle and Chiquita the Mexican Chihuahua. (I am Hungarian, my husband is an American Marine, wow, what an international family we are, ha!) We bought Grizzly Pollock Oil to improve our dog's fur and although it would be too early to see a difference in fur quality for the better I could sing you hymns about the flavor. To me it stinks to high heaven but my dogs are nuts for it. Our smallest one, Chiquita, is very, VERY picky about what she eats. If it ain't filet mignon she won't touch it (ok, ok, I am exaggerating but only a little bit) but lo and behold, she stands in line in the morning when it's time to give our four legged friends their daily vitamins. She licks the plate clean (1/2 pump stroke) and than head held high withdraws herself from "her loyal subjects" (yes that's us) back into her princess bed. Once I see any difference in the quality in our dog's furs I'll update this review. Hugs to all!

I have 2 beautiful mixed beagle lab mutts. Last year one of them starting getting reoccurring ear infections and the other wouldn't stop sneezing all the time. Of course we too the precious little brats to the vet several times to get ear medicine, Instructions and cleaning the ears. We did the advised bath routine and even gave them benadryl as prescribed. Although all of this worked somewhat I did many hours of research online learned that fish oil can be very helpful with the Omega 3 and 6. Although this product doesnt claim any benefit towards allergies I figured it was worth a shot and I started off buying the 4oz size just to try. I didnt want the larger items in case they wouldn't eat it. Well they ate it and it seemed to also help my cat with hairballs so I bought the 32 oz size and within a few weeks their coats became super shiny and we havent had a ear infection since Now we cant live without this. Its helped releived the dog allergies and now my cat only coughs up small hairballs a couple times a month instead of weekly

The spout arrived broken, my dog loves this product so it was a shame I’ll have to open the bottle each time to use it and risk it spilling and wasting.

I cant say enough wonderful things about Grizzly Salmon & Pollock Oils. I bought the Salmon Oil from Amazon several times for my minpins skin allergies, dry patches , and dry pads . It was wonderful and made his fur so baby soft and velvety, and a very glossy coat and one happy boy . No more biting and itching his skin feverishly. He loves the taste of both oils. I recently on June 26th was in search of the Salmon oil and I will only buy Grizzly brand they did not have the 32oz size on Amazon any long and this size is the most bang for your buck. I cam across the Pollock oil by the same company with only on positive review listed ( being new a new product to Amazon) I further researched other sites and found many positive reviews for it) Not surprised and being I purchased Grizzly Salmon Oil with great results. I snatched this up at a fabulous price with free shipping . It was even cheaper then the salmon oil by a few dollars . This product is so worth every penny if you want to keep your pet with healthy skin and minimize greatly any skin and allergy conditions. The 320z size lasts a long time I use 1 squirt 2 x per day for my 10lb dog. I would I highly recommend this brand and both the Salmon & Pollock oil. I appreciate Amazon shipping it so quickly within a few days. As for the previous reviewer it was listed as Amazon Prime but when checking out you need to be sure to check the box for Prime. Perhaps that's what happened. I hope it doesn't make you reluctant to purchase from Amazon again . Sometimes I get my products the very next day. Hope all pet lovers give this a try . Your pets are worth it!

Love this product. My puppy’s coat was looking dull and losing hair on his tummy. I’ve been giving him this for a couple months and his coat is super shiny and he is no longer as itchy!

It’s a little early to tell if there is a therapeutic value but the dog does seem to like it and he has no fishy smell so that’s a bonus!

Dogs should be getting this already in dog food, not having to add fish oils and probiotics.

I didn't find this really did anything for my dog and my dog normally eats everything and anything, but my Lab was fussy about eating their food with this mixed in with it. They didn't seem to like the smell or something and I saw no changes in their coat. I actually found giving my dog probiotics was more beneficial than this stuff, but that's just my dog. It may work for some others as every animal is different.

We have been using Grizzly fish oil as a supplement for our dog. His coat is extra shiny, and many people ask us about it. We tell them its the fish oil. Highly recommended!!
