I use a lot of assistive technology because of wrist problems. When I first started researching foot switches online, I was amazed that some of them cost hundreds of dollars. I actually tried one foot controller that cost over $600. My problem was that the foot switch needed a lot of pressure to create the click, and that actually started giving me ankle and shin problems.I decided to try the StealthSwitch 3 programmable USB foot switch controller because it seems like a cheaper alternative to other things I saw on the market. I was pretty confused by it at first – I bought the wrong foot pedal. Basically, the way this StealthSwitch FS – 1 works is you need both the programmable USB foot switch controller and the StealthSwitch FS – 1 momentary contact foot switch pedal with the 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) mono audio plug. Once I got both pieces though, it was awesome!It was very easy to set up – practically plug-and-play, although you do have to decide what kind of "click" you want the foot pedal to create. There is a drop-down menu and you can basically click left click, right-click, double-click – pretty much anything you could possibly click, it is an option.Once you assign a type of click to the foot pedal, you're good to click! This has completely revolutionized my ability to use the computer. By far, it is the best foot pedal I have found, because the StealthSwitch FS – 1 uses the least amount of pressure to create the click of any foot pedal I have found. I bring one to work and have one at home.If you need a method for creating mouse clicks that does not use your wrist because of carpal tunnel syndrome or other hand or wrist problems, I really recommend the StealthSwitch programmable USB foot switch controller + the StealthSwitch FS – 1. Just make sure to buy the correct foot pedal to pair with the StealthSwitch 3 programmable USB foot switch controller– it has to be the one with the 3.5 mm audio plug, not the USB plug.

Clicks quietly, omnidirectional, weighted with rubber feet. Works well. No clear way to mount it though.
