Pool Supplies Express Pool Skimmer, Sturdy Plastic Frame Head

I had to replace an old pool skimmer that had broken down, and not only does this unit replace it, but is far superior and at probably the same cost. First of all, unlike the old unit, this pool skimmer is extendable so that you can reach a fair distance into the middle of the pool to pick up leaves. In addition, the basket is about 50% larger. I read one review which lambasted it for being a light design which broke down, but probably the skimmer pole broke because the user extended it too far. Any item that is misused is bound to break.

As described. Coarser mesh than many others. Fits 1 1/8" ID poles (this should be in the Amazon Product Description).Customer Service is "over the top". Expect to receive several emails from the seller being sure you are happy with the product.The reason for 4 stars is I just received it recently so I have no comments about durability yet.I was so happy to see this was MADE IN THE USA that immediately clicked the BUY button.

NOT a professional one. Would be broken in days. A better quality home use net. Still flexes a lot when you use it and the head is not real big.. It works better than my broken one, so it's not worth returning. I would have searched for a bigger and heavier duty one, had I seen this beforehand.

Seems to work as well or better than those I've bought at the local big-box store. The season is just beginning so we haven't used it much yet. If that changes, I'll come update. I can't imagine it not being just fine, thought!June 11: Used for a couple of weeks now. Is definitely better made than my former model. I'll buy this one again when needed. The former one looks similar but the netting isn't as secured so pulls away from the sides. I'm quite satisfied with this purchase.

This leaf net is much better made than I expected and I am very pleased with the product. The previous leaf nets I have purchased have not lasted and I have been very disappointed in them. I received my purchase the same day I ordered it and I can say without a doubt that when I need a new leaf net for my pool I will purchase another of these, but do to it's sturdy construction I do not anticipated having to purchase another for a long time.

I looked at few skimmers before I found this one. Even though it didn't have much reviews they were all positive and I gave it a try.It is what would you expect from a quality skimmer. I like the overall size and the holes distribution too - it doesn't make me feel like I am moving a paddle yet collecting everything that doesn't belong in the pool.It looks like it will last for a long time.

Quick delivery but the wholes in the screen skimmer are larger than the one I have now. No hassle return. Great for leaves, grass clippings, mulch, etc., if your pool is not enclosed. I need a fine mesh screen that I found at my local pool store that removes fine dust/debris/ tiny bugs that slip under the screen door enclosure. Framing is not steel/metal reinforced which is both a pro and a con based on your desired usage.

Mesh is not very fine. I've only had it about a month. It seems like it could be reasonably durable and does what you'd expect for a skimmer. I'd personally just like the mesh to be smaller/tighter/more fine. Small bits like pollen, etc. slip through. Its fine for leaves, bugs, most little things, etc. No issues with it mating up to my old skimmer/vac poles.
