Handy little light.
This has quickly become my favorite light to keep on hand. The 90° head is incredibly convenient any time you want to clip it to a shirt pocket or the bill of a cap, or just tail stand it on a flat surface. You can also lash it to a pole to shine light into confined areas or hold it low to the ground to find dropped items. It's programmable, so you can choose your favorite mode from the several available. It can run on CR123A batteries for high brightness, or cheaper AA batteries for perfectly adequate performance; it's nice to have several battery options if your usual ones aren't available. The aluminum body should hold up for a long, long time.

Excellent Lighting Option
While not the most powerful, I’ve used it many times when my hands are full. Clip works great, never disappointed in streamlight. Would recommend.

Bright, durable, versatile
Low works, high works when you need it. Eats CR123rechargeable, AA, and it works on AAA with a little fiddling.

Ninety degree light angle enhances grip and control.
Good reliable light and the 90 deg angle enhances grip and control. Bright enough without being overly bright. Great flashlight.

Great light
Fantastic light, however you had better buy rechargeable batteries. It goes through them quickly!

The perfect torch for people who hate headtorches
There’s a reason why we don’t use head torches in the military and that reason is “versatility.” A 90-degree torch is much more versatile and since the advent of high powered LEDs and lithium cells, this style of torch has only become more useful and rugged. Ok, enough history. The basics: Streamlight basically gave their ProTac 1L a bent head. That’s it.The advanced: ok, it’s more like a “1L-X,” if you speak “Streamlightese.” This means you get ten-tap programming and a dual fuel design. The latter means you can use either CR123a or AA batteries, lithium or alkaline. However, you incur a brightness penalty when using anything other than CR123a. You get one of each in the packaging, both lithium. What’s “ten-tap?” For the uninitiated, Streamlight torches are set to “high, strobe-low.” With 10 fast taps on the button, you can change that to “high only” and “low-high.” That’s it. Read the instructions if that doesn’t make sense to you.Great minor benefits: the bezel is removable to facilitate LED swaps, should you kill one. You can also swap it for a crenellated bezel or colored lenses if they decide to make them for this model (more on that in a bit). The clip is now reinforced so it won’t come off accidentally and it’s bi-directional. Perfect for clipping to a pack strap for forward use, to a pocket for forward use, or to the bill of a hat for downward use. The button is also on the head, not the tail, allowing for stand up use.Colored lenses: there are none, either in the package or available direct from Streamlight. However, it’s a standard 1” (25.4mm) head. Nitecore offers red (NFR25), green (NFG25), and blue (NFB25) filters that slip on, grip the ribbed heat sink on the bezel and fit securely. I use one myself. What could be improved: offer a head that twists to create a standard aim torch. Make a 2-cell version based on the ProTac 2L-X body for longer runtime. Make a bezel and lens set for color options. Finally, make the battery cap the same diameter as the bezel so you can securely store a lens on the bottom.I hate head torches because I tend to wear a hat and glasses while out hiking and photographing landscapes. If you wear either, you know my pain. Streamlight hasn’t made a solid, right angle torch with high output until now. If you’ve only got room in your pack for one light, it should be this, as it’s the least compromised. Just bring a few extra cells with you.

It’s small but it works.
This works great, it’s awesome on a back pack but the clip is very very tight and doesn’t like thick webbing for mounting it. So think about how you’re gonna mount this before you buy it. It’s fairly small and stays out of the way which has made it perfect for me.

Fantastic Light
For how small it is, this thing is damn good. Being able to switch between batteries have made this invaluable. I take it everywhere, and I never have to worry about being caught in the dark. It's pretty dang durable too. Just a fantastic product.
