Holy Suction!
My husband has spent the last several days laughing at me because I am IN LOVE with my new vacuum! Seriously! The suction on this thing is amazing AND it is adjustable. If you're finding it hard to vacuum on certain surfaces, it's because you need to adjust your settings. So just for reference, I used it to vacuum a 4,000sq ft. house, with stairs and multiple surfaces (carpet, rugs, hardwood and tile), and it held up amazingly the entire time! When using the full unit, it picked up everything on the first swipe and left a spotless floor in its wake, INCLUDING on the hardwood and tile floors. I couldn't believe it. I hate sweeping with the broom, but the vacuum is never enough. Now it is! When using the detachable unit for the stairs and higher areas, it performed, dare I say, even better. The stairs were the best they have ever been. There was no loss of suction when switching to the detachable unit. The tools attached and performed above expectation, with no lag or inability to pick up debris. The tools for higher spaces worked perfectly and efficiently. This vacuum is a great deal especially for the price. I will never buy another vacuum, ever.

it actually is great on rugs!
TLDR: I have several area rugs, I have stairs, one dog, one husband and one child and this vacuum solves all of our problems at a great price. It is great on rugs you just have to use both rug settings instead of one. AND I found this vacuum as a recommendation by multiple users on the frugal subreddit and you know those people don't like to spend money on anything! I did hours of research before buying a vacuum, I wanted to buy one that would last me a decade but I can't afford that right now. With the budget I have this was the best option. I want to address some things I read in multiple reviews across multiple retail sites that sell this model. For the carpet homes: Yes the vacuum can be too powerful for carpets, however I don't see any reviews mentioning that not only is there a setting for carpet on the power button but there is also a nozzle you slide at the handle where you can customize the suction of the vacuum to your liking. For hard under to reach areas: this baby fully swivels to the side so that you can go underneath furniture and for anything that is very small you can take the tube out and attach the comb nozzle and then it cleans better than a tube vacuum. For the weight: Yes it is heavier than a tube vacuum but it is not heavier than any other upright vacuum I've used. For stairs: this guy is a dream! He was built for stairs. For base boards: The attachment for baseboards with the little hook like construction I can't tell you how happy it makes me. Every little bit and bob is gone with one swipe. Lastly I just want to mention that the suction is phenomenal, which is the most important part of any vacuum. The emptying of the tank is super clean and easy to do and did not get dust anywhere other than my trash bag. Also I had the shark tube vacuum before this and not having the attachments with me when I vacuumed was so annoying I began to resent them so much. But now with both attachments living comfortably on the vacuum like a male Angler fish on his mate, I'm very happy and much more likely to deep clean on a regular basis.

Mostly great
I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s a great little vacuum. The good: great suction, easy to clean, lightweight, comes with some attachments. The base detaches so it’s easy to move around if vacuuming steps. I have a dog and 3 cats and this does the job every time. The bad (for me anyway): the cord seems pretty short compared to some of my older Sharks. The hose is also very short and becomes a problem when I’m trying to vacuum steps. The attachments it comes with aren’t great and I ended up keeping attachments from my older shark. The canister is small. I’m finding myself having to empty it a lot quicker than my old one. The base of the vacuum is also pretty small. Again comparing with my older shark that had a bigger base so was vacuuming more at once. All in all, I do feel that it’s a great purchase, just a little bit to get used to.

Buy this vacuum - you won’t be sorry!
I usually don’t write reviews, but for this product, I felt like I needed to! I came from using an Oreck vacuum for the last 15 years. I got tired of the bags and having to take it in every year for a “tuneup”. I finally got frustrated and decided to try this Shark vacuum. To say that I am impressed is an understatement! The suction is great and the first time I used it, I have a dog that sheds, it picked up two FULL containers of pet hair that the Oreck had not been picking up. I would show a pic, but it’s not pretty! You can adjust the amount of suction that you want, the first time I used it I went full on and it’s like someone had shampooed my carpet. The fact that you can detach it and carry it around with the hose to clean my stairs is great added bonus. The appliance itself is easy to clean, you can rinse out the container bin and the air filtration looks like it’s easy to clean, as well. Do yourself a favor and try this out, I feel you won’t be disappointed! I wish I could give it more than five stars!

Highly recommend
This is a long one, but it's worth the read if you're doing some serious shopping for a vacuum cleaner: I picked this up in October so I've been using it for a few months just to get a genuine sense of how this vacuum really performed and I am absolutely impressed! This beats my Dyson AND my Kirby hands down. Superior suction, amazing maneuverability, lighter than either the Kirby or the Dyson. ( If you're wondering why I own so many vacuums, I clean for a living.) I bought this for the house. I have two cats and a husband who's into Warhammer so you know there are sprew bits and cat hair everywhere and this thing handles it like a champ! I wasn't sold on how small the floor attachment was until I used it: I can get underneath my barstools so much easier now and my entire house ( approx. 2000 sq ft.) is done in 20 minutes, tops! There is a learning curve, but that's something you get with any new vacuum. I was also super impressed by the ease with which I can switch from floor to handheld attachments. Some of these other vacuums I've used are so bulky and difficult to handle all the small attachments... Not this one! I'm able to switch back and forth from floor to handheld quick, fast and in a hurry. Bonus points that it's lightweight. I'm not killing myself just to vacuum my house. It's really saved my back! And it was so much less expensive than the Dyson or the Kirby. The window on the floor attachment gives me a clear view of the roller brush ( yeah, it makes me accountable which is a good thing. It's harder to ignore when I can see it so thanks for that, too. ). The cord is a tad short, so I went ahead a bought a small extension cord to go with it, but other than that, I'm very impressed! I wish I had bought this years ago. I will never buy another vacuum from anyone else other than Shark again. Good job, guys! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious little vacuum.

Shark Navigator- BUY IT
I need to start this off by saying I paid full price for my vacuum. This is not a paid review. This is my complete unbiased opinion on some thing I paid full price for. I was trying to choose between this vacuum and the Bissell pet pro, I believe. I had googled the top 10 best vacuums, this one was number one and the Bissell was number two. When I asked, my friend, they said to go with the Bissell, because that’s the brand that they knew. The Bissell was also around $100 less than the shark. Regardless, I had other intentions. My shark arrived within two days. No damages to the package. It was double boxed. Opening the box, assembly was very simple to understand and easy enough anyone could handle it. I had no problem putting this vacuum together in less than five minutes. All the pieces were there. It literally just snapped together. Did I read the instructions on the manual on? What does what? Absolutely not. When I first started the vacuum, I was unknowingly using it on the bare floor setting on carpet. It still picked up everything. I was a little shocked about how quiet it was, and how heavy it felt trying to move it. I realized that the brushes weren’t turned on, and I have to click the button all the way down… 😅 Keep in mind, I swept my carpet with a broom first. I swept up into a dust pan the bigger pieces like cat food and treats. I have three cats, by the way. The vacuum is significantly lighter when you have the brushes activated(obviously). I did one pass on the living room floor and shockingly to my surprise I filled up the entire container. The hair was separated from the dust. And there’s a light on the right side of the base of the vacuum that will turn from green to red if you have an obstruction. For me, the light did not turn red. I just wanted to make that known just in case somebody else chooses to not read the instructions as I did. When I tell you, I’ve never had a vacuum pick up every piece of debris hair cat food whatever you name it this vacuum picked it up in one pass. No exaggeration. Things I was concerned about: 1. The body of the vacuum is very bulky and wide. My concern with this was that I wouldn’t be able to reach close spots into corners and under furniture. The base of the vacuum swivels from the body, so this was not a problem at all. 2. Also, regarding the body, it is very front, heavy and not rear heavy. so it is awkwardly unbalanced and can tip over if you bump in to it. that’s really the only complaint that I have about it and it’s not enough that I would take a star away from this review because of the quality of the vacuum, the functions in the gadgets, and all the bells and whistles. This vacuum has it all and I love it. 3. My only other concern was that hair could get trapped in the brush and caused me issues with trying to finish, vacuuming my floor in sitting. This was also not an issue. This vacuum works like a dream and never in my life. Would I ever think that I would be so excited and giddy over a machine that I use to do chores. One improvement that COULD be made, but isn’t a game changer; make the cord retract with a button instead of having to wrap it up by hand. Is that lazy of me to say? LOL YES. I don’t care 🤣 that’s the only thing my bissel did that this Shark does not do. So all in all, I truly give this vacuum five stars. I show this vacuum off to my friends. I let my friends take it for a test drive. I am obsessed with it. It has changed the way I feel about having to vacuum. If you are concerned about the price, maybe you want it but you still don’t know if it’s worth it? Can you potentially afford it? If you can, I’m telling you right now to do it. Buy the vacuum. You will not regret it. This is probably one of the best home maintenance products that I’ve ever purchased. If anything goes wrong, of course, I will update my review, but I highly doubt it. This vacuum is nothing less than impressive. it was worth it for me. I have attached photos of what the unit looks like after vacuuming my floor… it’s gross. It picked up years of dirt that had found its forever home at the very bottom of the carpet. 🥴 I’ll never have to deal with that again.

Superb
I used the vacuum once and ran to tell people how wonderful it is. I got this Shark because I felt like my extremely old vacuum wasn’t cleaning well at all anymore. When the Shark arrived, I used my old vacuum in my bedroom and then immediately used this new Shark right after. The canister was full of pet hair and dirt after half of my bedroom. I was in shock how fantastic it worked. It also smelled cleaner after using it. The vacuum isn’t too heavy and it’s a great quality. It’s secure to stand on its own. I love that you can use it like a traditional vacuum or hold in your hand to get ceiling corners and cracks. The versatility is awesome. I highly recommend this vacuum. Spend the money and it will be well worth it.

Good suction/ good workout!
The plusses are this vacuum has great suction. I can't believe how much it picks up every time I use it and typically I vacuum twice/week. I have a long hair cat who doesn't appear to shed a lot but when I look at the canister I see tons of hair. It is also very easy to empty the canister. The negatives are that is it very hard to push on carpet, even with it adjusted for carpet. It takes a lot of effort. I am in good shape and feel like I've had a workout after using it. Also, the cord is shorter than my last vacuum and I have to move it several times to clean my whole house. If you don't mind getting a workout and moving around more than it's a great vacuum!

Bom para ambientes maiores.
Chegou super rápido, super bem embalado. É bem grande e pesado, talvez um de menor atendesse melhor minhas necessidades. Ele aspira muito bem e a opção para carpete é ótima.

smell of burning
received the vacuum today opened and set up. the Vacuum turned it on; the vacuum just spread the dirt and hairs around after a few minutes there was a strong smell of burning and the vacuum became very ho turned and unplugged immediately as I thought it would set on fire. I had very good reviews of the shark vacuum prior to buying so was very disappointed. maybe just a bad vacuum? See video
