McDavid 6446 Extended Compression Leg Sleeve with Hexpad Protective Pad - One Pair

I really like these. The length and slim fit keeps them mostly in place with minimal sliding around. I wear them for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and NoGi grappling. They work great. Unfortunately they only last about a month or two. I have had two pairs so far and after a while the hex pads start to separate from the pad leaving you with bare spots and spots where there are just tiny pads bunched up. The first pair I washed and dried. The second pair I only washed and let air dry as I thought maybe it was the heat from the dryer that was responsible, it didn't matter either way. So while I like the pads better than any other I have tried, at this price I wish they would last longer.**Update - I contacted McDavid directly to let them know my feelings on the durability of this product. They told me they would pass my thoughts on to the design team, and he offered to send me a new pair with "TFLEX coating over the hex padding making them more durable." I appreciate the good customer service.

My son loves these (age 11, wears a medium)! I have probably ordered 6 pair over the past year and I would say 2 of the pair didn't make it past day 1 of practice on an indoor basketball court and immediately had holes in them. The others have lasted 6 months so I am not sure what the deal is. Either way, Amazon and the manufacturer didn't give me any problems exchanging the ones that didn't make it past one wear. This is why I love Amazon! These stay up great. My 7 year old fits into a small and he has skinny legs.

I have been using this for Judo, wrestling, and BJJ for a few months now. It holds up well to washing, stays in place and protects during wrestling shots, and protects when I land on my knees in Judo. I don't know what difference the sleeve makes for compression, but I know it helps keep the pads in place to have more sleeve. I highly recommend this, but do make sure to get the right size (via sizing chart on McDavid's website). There isn't much wiggle room.

FIRST, WeSellSkates did awesome with customer service! The product: So far I am very satisfied with the fit and feel, they're very comfortable, provide reasonable compression, and provide good shock absorption. I remain skeptical about durability. I have been wearing them for basketball 2-3 times per week for the last 3+ weeks. I'm on my second pair. The first time I hit the floor hard, the first pair tore right on the point of my knee. I contacted WeSellSkates and they IMMEDIATELY sent a replacement. GREAT SERVICE! I am 6'1", 190 pounds, and move pretty well so the impact was probably on the high-end of absorption a pad like this should be expected to withstand. It did absorb the impact and I suffered no injury. Overall, I remain happy with the product thus far.

i got mine in about a week and i wear them everywhere, they are so comfortable i can sleep with them on. two years ago i sprained my left knee playing basketblal and these work great to protect my knee and give it a little extra support that i need when walking so my knee doesnt swell or throb anymore

It is an alright piece of protective sport gear, but I am thinking about returning this product and getting the Adidas one or another brand.The pad is flexible, but is itchy and annoying from my experience, and the top elastic band is to tight on my leg, maybe I have a fat leg or it just needs to break in. But at the moment I don't want to play in these only because I don't want to come off the court annoyed that they are too tight or itchy, but however I will keep them and train in them until I make up my mind.

Let me begin by saying the pads work well and save abrasion and minor bruising and absorb what could be more serious injuries. That said, the last two pair we've bought, in last several months are constantly being destroyed in just actual game use by our high school player.The problem is the cloth covering the pads is cheap and tears easily. The pair here took a fatal tear by only their second game, and these were in maintained indoor high school gym courts. Once the fabric tore, the foam pads inside shredded, and that with only hand washing - machine washing as recommended would have accelerated the process.Attempts to contact mcdavid were completely ignored. Not cool.Thirty bucks for a bit of spandex, foam and a bit of cottony shirt covering is obscene. If I have to buy two or three of these each year, because they are less durable than very cheap socks,I HOPE someone else begins knocking these off reasonably well, and yes I mean that, because if mcdavid won't support the product and stand behind it, they deserve to be undercut.

Very good product, very good materials, very good brand. All this with a very good price. It slips a little while running but you just need to re-adjust.
