Really fresh and tasty. A strong black licorice start, followed by a slow, deep, habanero burn. The texture is also good, too. I can't eat more than a couple of these before needing to take a break; since these are otherwise addictive, I consider this a win. Would definitely buy again.

Good but not great. Warm but not hot. And just like most licorice treats today, not as strong licorice as I wanted, but still good.

I wanted to like this more, but it just doesn't pay off. The flavour is not as habanero as I wanted - neither the heat nor the fruitiness of habanero are present. There's a bit of a metallic taste. I'm not sure if that's due to this flavour or if that's in their regular flavour as well. Nice chewy mouth feel, though.

While this is not hot at all as you may assume with the word habanero in its description, it is super flavorful with undertones of spice. I love the texture, it is by far my favorite licorice to date. A bit pricey but worth the indulgence.

I discovered Viva grits by Bulow line of licorice while traveling to Iceland for the first time this summer. Iceland was extraordinary and apparently, Lockridge is regarded as the premium licorice brand for the country. I'm really surprised, residing in the United States, that -Lakrids is not more popular. I think I have been to nearly every state and do not recall seeing it in any grocery store large or small. Lockridge offers a range of flavors, and my favorite from their large repertoire is definitely the number for habanero. I do not recommend it enough. Unlike most American candy brands, this is not intended to eat by handfuls but rather savored one piece at a time. So, a 150-gram bottle should last you at least one to two months, if not longer. Ingredients are high-quality, the manufacturing standards based on the videos I saw appear to be exceptionally High, and the flavor is when I never get tired of. I cannot recommend it enough. If you are a licorice fan, you owe it to yourself to try -Lakrids by Bulow. If you are fond of well-crafted sweets and treats, you also out yourself to try. If you are turned off of American made licorice, you owe it to yourself to try this because it might turn you on to what high-quality licorice can be.
