Botanique Chest Balm P.M., Soothing, Calming and Comforting Care for Restful Nights, 1.76 oz

I didn’t expect much about the product, just it would be ok if it would really work. If it didn’t work, I just use as ointment for my dry skin. It was exceeded beyond my expectations! Every time I put the ointment on my chest, under the nose and forehead, I can relax and can fall asleep sooner. The smell is minty and somewhat herb. I think it works well for me, so I purchased for my daughter who is busy college application and is having hard time to fall asleep. She tried only a few times, so I can’t tell, but she doesn’t deny when I offer her to use the ointment. Great product!

Sick with the flu, needed something to help with my airway besides a rescue inhaler. Decided to give this product a try over one from a manufacturer I was already familiar with. As another reviewer said, the balance of scents from mint and eucalyptus are a bit overpowered by the basil, and at first I found it a bit unpleasant, but when I put it on my chest, I found it started to work right away, soothing my airway passages, calming the cough, and after a while, I was breathing freer without so much congestion. Did I mention how very, very, very sore and painful my muscles all around my rib cage were, front and back, from so much coughing? Every little cough became so painful, sometimes I couldn't even move afterwards. I thought the turmeric might help with the sore chest muscles where I applied it to my chest, but I wasn't at all prepared for ALL the muscles around my rib cage to benefit (as well as soreness anywhere else in my body). The muscle soreness and pain diminished considerably with the first application, and continuously got better each time I used the product, which has been a couple times a day. This benefit alone has made this purchase so worthwhile. As you can tell, I am very happy with this product.

Wow. This stuff is AMAZING. I was desperate to find something that helps my 5 year old son with his seasonal allergies. He gets so congested during the night and is on 2 medications, but when his allergies are bad, the medication just isn't enough. Nights can be awful. I have seasonal allergies as well, have had all my life, and this is the only thing I have found that helps me sleep. And trust me, I've tried a ton of different products. I even use it during the day sometimes if I'm super congested or if I have a cold. My sister had pneumonia a few weeks ago, and I had recommended this stuff to her last winter when one of her kids were sick. So she had it on hand when she had pneumonia, and one night she said she could barely breathe and probably should have gone to the ER. Because of covid though, she wanted to avoid that scenario. She used this chest balm, and by the next day she was breathing better. She gets pneumonia almost every winter and it's not unusual for her to end up in the ER. I have recommended this to multiple people and everyone who uses it is absolutely amazed by it. It's incredible for a sore throat. I put it on my chest and up my neck, making sure to wear a tshirt or scarf or something that covers my chest and neck. I've learned it works best that way. It does have a strong smell and my 5 year old hates the smell. I've learned though to wait to put it on his chest until after he's asleep. I won't ever be without this balm!

The scent is a good one, but it’s very very strong. I don’t mind it but my husband is sensitive to scents so I have to put it on in a different room then he is in, it lingers for a while and it’s just strong. The directions say put it under the nose and it’s too strong for that, it hurt my whole families nostrils. But it’s amazing for the chest and works SO well. It got rid of and kept all the coughs at bay, helped all my kids sleep and not cough nearly as much.

I bought this as a replacement for Vicks to see if a non-petroleum version would work as well. I found this product to work better than Vicks. It certainly has a different scent but its pleasant enough and I've grown to like it. It's certainly different than the strong menthol of Vicks. The only thing preventing me from rating five stars is that it says you can use it on your nose but I find it kind of burns and irritates the skin on my nose. My husband used it for several days and found the same and he has less sensitive skin. So as long as I put it on my chest or arms, I'm fine and I like it well enough to continue buying it even if I can't use it on my nose.

One of the best topical ointments out there! I rub it on me every night and it has been very helpful! I love this product.

Love this product, the smell and the benefits it gave me when I was sick. I love it so much i use it when I'm not sick too. It deserves 5 stars even though the product I received was compromised and bullied. I used the last bit from my old jar (orange lid, dark green jar) and was having trouble finding more. I can't believe my new jar looks totally used, no safety seal and the box it came in was torn and opened. I'm so very disappointed.

It stopped my 5 yrs old's bad cough right away! we didn't know what was causing but she had to cough a lot every night. (only at night) no fever no other symptoms, just coughing so bad while she was sleeping and slight runny nose. I was putting vicks on her feet, it worked but didn't last all night, I had to put at least twice a night, and she was still coughing even with vicks I gave it a try with this product and she didn't cough at all through the night for the first time in last many weeks! I spread it on her back, (only on her back since she didn't like the smell at the time). and next morning she had to blow her nose many times. we were not sure if there was any connection but we thought this product got rid of all the mucus in her nose. I am so happy with this purchase!

Mal abgesehen von dem unglaublichen Duft , bietet dieses Balsam nicht wirklich einen Erfolg. Es pflegt, allerdings zeigt es keine Wirkung. Ich hatte gehofft, dass es zumindest etwas meine Schulterschmerzen lindert, was aber bei mir überhaupt keine Wirkung zeigte.

Love this product use it on all of my 3 younger children and for myself smells amazing and very soothing it literally makes you feel like you can breath and feels really smooth and the best thing is that it’s all natural

I bought this Himalaya Chest Balm as an alternative to Vick's Vapour Rub. It goes on easily and has a much nicer smell than Vick's. It feels better on the skin and doesn't leave a burning sensation, like Vick's. It eased some of the congestion in my nose and on my chest and altogether more pleasant to use.
