Are these panels ridged? I'm thinking of standing them up between my desk and the filing cabinet in front of my desk w/ 18" frestanding.

I'm not sure what ridged means, but they are just square edged, flat, 4 inch thick panels. No way to stand them on edge unless you rig something up.

We purchased 10 of these tiles form you back in November. Is there a suggested height to hang them?Would heights that vary be beneficial?

place them with center at ear height and try some randomness also. try googling the mirror method of placing wall treatments.

I have a pretty small office/studio (10*11) how many of these will I need?

i ordered 3 in one of our conference rooms about the same size as your studio. It reduce the noise by about 35 percent. I really like them I am planning on ordering 3 more for the same room.We an open concept design so our space has no ceiling and noise bouncing off the walls, floors made it unbearable. The 3 panels we put up made a huge difference. I am planning on adding 3 more to the same conference room and purchasing more for the other 3 conference rooms we have. I would say between 6/8 panels would work just depends on percentage of noise you would like to lessen.
