Isn't it Enough
Previously from my review: Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 (The Twilight Saga) (Hardback)Nothing about this book is cheap, from the texture of the pages to the binding.Visually perfect, from the hardcover matching the hardback novels, to the sleeve that tied in with the next book. The artwork, detailing it took with each page left me in awe; I was excited to find not every page was in color but grey-scale because when color appeared it made it that more vibrant.Being honest, although the movies were fine, this felt more visually like how I pictured the twilight characters...Starting out on the second novel with high hopes, I was rewarded with the history of the Cullen's enriched in a way the movies lacked, and I was surprised by how although some things were skimmed over, I did not miss them. From one turn to the next the dialogue became more fluid, and addicted I kept reading on locked in Bella's perspective. When the time came, for the scene, where she could have been a vampire, which just like the novels did not happen...I still kept watching/reading hopeless for the set up of New Moon all over again. One of those guilty fans who has all the hardbacks, my own Original Twilight Novel, has the pages ripped out towards the end so I can lie to myself and say she was turned then.THE ONLY REASON I AM MENTIONING THIS, is to show how precious this book was; with more than just words on the page I could not bring myself to tear any pages out.

alternate movie
The art adaptation is like a alternate version of the movie to watch. Volume 2 Edward cover completes the volume 1 Bella cover into a nice lover couple poster. The first thing I notice in volume 2 is that Young Kim doesn't have Bella sweat as much as she was in volume 1 art. The book has some wonderful art at that. The Cullens house was much closer to what I had envision than we got in the Twilight movie though I had expected the outside shot to be a bit spookier with a more haunted feel to it. The increase story of Dr. Cullen and Edward's transformations into vampires were much better with the artwork than I had pictured in my head after reading original book as was Billy's surprise a how informed Bella was about the Cullens. I still think it funnier in the movie when Charlie has his shot gun when Bella first introduce Edward to him. Also interesting seeing what Meyer's view of how Laurent, Victoria and James were after getting the movie actors that played them stuck in my head. While they wanted to finish the first movie in two books I can see the reason I did find that battle in the ballet studio ended rather quick. Though maybe I just need to re-read that part of the book and once again get the movie events out of my head as with Jacob reason for showing up at the prom. My biggest surprise in the book however was when Young Kim choose to add color to the art during the prom at the end of the book which was even more well done than the orange over tone of Carlisle's history.

The hues of Twilight dance and glimmer in another great instalment to the franchise.
Actual rating 4.5 stars.Loving the artwork and new incarnation on the book that jumpstarted my reading and writing enthusiasm, I enjoyed âTwilight The Graphic Novel Volume 2â more than the first volume. My favourite scenes include the backstory of The Cullens (Carlisle and Edward) - the flashback was illustrated incredibly well. Also, I practically devoured the final fight scene and the parts of the original manuscript that were used, the reveal was done fantastically. The use of colour in the fashbacks was a masterful touch, as to was the blur effect when Bella went under sedation. It is wonderful to explore âTwilightâ again in illustrated form.Colour in the final scene felt a little washed out â I guess it was symbolising âtwilightâ but I wanted to be dazzled like I was in the meadow scene from Volume 1. This felt a little lack lustre for the climax of the story. Additionally, the tone this version of âTwilightâ ended on was a little cheesy. But Volume 2 definitely captured more of the essence of âTwilightâ that was missing from Volume 1. We get the comedy and sarcasm, as well as some of the darker moments â and that was something I was praying for⌠thank heavens to betsy ;pAgain another fantastic addition to any twi-hard collection.

Gorgeous illustrations
The important parts of the story are still there, but many of the more mundane scenes or unimportant plot lines are skipped. I was able to read this in about half an hour and not get bored. The art is absolutely gorgeous. Most pages are black and white but Young Kim knows when to add just a touch of color to really make it pop. The last few pages are full color which really makes the happy ending even better. I loved seeing such a familiar story in a new way. When I have an urge to reread Twilight in the future, I know I'll be reaching for these before the full books.

Manga Style Twilight Story.
I really enjoy reading this graphic novel part 2. Part 1 was good and I looked forward to part 2 and it was good. Just like the novel itself. I love the artwork and I also love the "manga style" it's done in. The book is Americanized that it reads like a normal book or comic book. But it still has that manga feel. If you are an artist or just a person who appreciates art, you should really love this book and the one before it. I do recommend them both. If you are not a Twilight fan and are just curious as to what the story is about, these would be good books to read over and get the whole story without having to buy the novel and read it completely. It's not as good as reading the novel but it's better than the movie. (laughing) My opinion is that books are ALWAYS better than the movie.
